📢We're making some changes at Treehouse Speech Therapy/Roots Healing & Wellness. A new name and some added services as of today!

📢Your invoices and appointments will start coming from Prairie Roots Healing & Wellness as I join hypnotherapy and reiki services under one umbrella with the speech therapy services that I have been providing for 26 years. I'm excited to spread my wings through the new hypnotherapy service and happy to continue to provide the great quality of speech therapy services and reiki sessions that you have become used to.

📢I appreciate any word of mouth to get my new services off the ground. Hypnotherapy is perfect for anyone looking for a natural, holistic approach to making changes in their lives. Anxiety, depression, grief, chronic pain, weight management, smoking cessation, sleep disturbance, addictions and phobias are a few areas that can be worked on through hypnotherapy. Really, any thought or behaviour that you want to change can be dealt with through this practice. Reiki is great for balancing and clearing the energetic body- the chakras.

If your child has recently been diagnosed with autism, you might be feeling both relief and uncertainty about what comes next.
We’re here to walk alongside you. 💛

Sensational Kids is a 6-week online education program for parents of autistic children aged 3–6 years. Sessions are facilitated by Louise Burridge (OT), Jana Szabo (Parent Educator) and Angela Kretschmer (OT). Together, we’ll help you:
✨ Understand your child’s sensory world
✨ Learn strategies for self-regulation at home and in the community
✨ Create a sensory-friendly space without breaking the bank
✨ Build a personalized sensory plan you can share with teachers and caregivers
✨ Connect with other parents who “get it”

Each week includes:

📚 An hour of interactive online education
🤝 45 minutes in a small group (4–6 families) for personalized support to implement new learning into your daily routines

📅 Dates: Tuesdays – September 23, September 30, October 7, October 14, October 21, and October 28 at 7:00pm

💻 Online – join from anywhere in Saskatchewan

💵 Investment: $375 per family – eligible for reimbursement through Saskatchewan’s Autism Individualized Funding

🥳NEW this fall!

Reading groups for pre-readers and beginning readers!

"Budding Bookworms" is a group for children to develop the basic foundation to reading in a fun, interactive group. Target students are K-1 and those who need additional direct instruction to be successful.

"Ready to Read" is a group for beginning readers to continue to learn more advanced reading skills to become confident readers.

Each group will meet once a week for 1 hour-day of the week to be determined.

If you are not sure which group your learner fits into, I can do a screening to determine the most beneficial group.

The investment is $75 per session with receipts provided for insurance reimbursement purposes.

The Literacy Primer camp was so much fun!

We worked on rhyming, segmenting and blending-the phonological awareness skills that are foundational to become a confident reader.

We refreshed and learned some new sound-letter information.

We also tied in vocabulary, categorizing, matching, and social skills throughout the literacy activities.

So much bang for your buck!
