🦷 When did your doctor last ask about your dental health? 🦷

Research links root canals to cancer & chronic diseases, yet dental health is often overlooked.

The focus on saving teeth, even with root canals, ignores the reality of leaving a dead tooth in your body.

Chronic inflammation has been dubbed “the silent killer,” leading to chronic diseases, heart disease, and cancer. Root canals are particularly vulnerable to infection and inflammation, which is often what initiated the problem in the first place. Living with a chronic source of infection can weaken your immunity, and in some cases, this ongoing inflammation can even promote the growth of malignancy. The body’s natural defense mechanisms are compromised as the immune system is preoccupied with inflammation that cannot resolve on its own.

The only way to address this issue is to identify and remove the cause. The infected area must be properly treated before the body can return to health..

The mouth is the body's largest exposed cavity. If your doctor hasn't inquired, it's time to re-evaluate your health.

Investigate dental health—it could restore your health and help prevent breast cancer.

Take charge, be proactive, and help prevent breast cancer NOW! 💪💖

Root Canals and Breast Cancer – What’s the connection?

Comment BLODGETT and I will send you the full interview with Dr. Kelly Blodgett on the Dangers of Mercury Fillings, Root Canals and Fluoride.
______
Repost:

“Many dentists and root canal specialists claim there is no scientific data that supports a connection between root canals and breast cancer. However, data is emerging which supports the connection, and I’ll share information from one such study shortly.

But first, let’s consider the basic human anatomy of the lymphatic system. The lymphatic system is a network of tiny vessels that collect fluid and waste products from the body’s tissues and drain into small glands called lymph nodes where substances that could be harmful to the body, such as bacteria or cancer cells, are trapped and removed. This helps to protect the body from infection. The lymph then passes back into the blood. The lymph vessels of the head and neck drain directly into the chest, armpit, and breast area (see image). As I have shown in numerous posts, all root canal-treated teeth are filled with microbes. These microbes are drained by the lymphatic system directly into the breast tissue. It is simple to see how the lymph nodes of the breast can become overly burdened by the chronic exposure to such microbes.

To support this notion, here is a recent study from the International Journal of Molecular Sciences titled: “Bacteria Residing at Root Canals Can Induce Cell Proliferation and Alter the Mechanical Properties of Gingival and Cancer Cells”. The study stated, “A compelling number of studies have documented the crucial role of some oral cavity-occurring microbes in the initiation and progression of cancers.”

I am not saying that all root canals cause cancer. However, root canals increase the risk of cancer. If your health goals include reducing risks for chronic diseases (like cancer!) then avoiding root canals may be more consistent with your values. If you have been diagnosed with breast cancer, removing root canals and other oral infections may also be a priority. If what you read here resonates with your spirit and understanding of health, then reach out through our website to become a patient today!”

Breast Cancer Awareness: Don't Ignore the Risk in Younger Women

Younger women often underestimate their breast cancer risk. However, breast cancer is a leading cause of death in women aged 35-54, and cases are rising. A significant number of diagnoses occur before menopause.

Why is Breast Cancer Different in Younger Women?

Denser Breast Tissue: Younger women typically have denser breasts, making lumps harder to detect. By the time a lump is felt, the cancer may be advanced, impacting treatment success.
Mammography Limitations: Routine mammograms are recommended for women 50+, but are less effective in younger women due to denser tissue. Mammography effectiveness drops significantly in women with Grade III or IV breast density.
Aggressive Cancer: Younger women tend to have higher hormonal activity, which can lead to more aggressive cancers that respond poorly to treatment.
Delayed Diagnosis: Many young women dismiss lumps as cysts, and some healthcare providers may adopt a 'wait-and-see' approach, delaying crucial diagnosis and treatment.

Take Charge of Your Health
An effective way of screening is available in the form of medical infrared thermography. Thermography becomes essential in helping many young women identify who is at a higher risk of developing breast cancer by assessment of how the breast functions. By identifying a high risk group early we can follow this group more vigilantly and when necessary escalate to other forms of testing which would involve structural tests like, Ultrasound, Mammography, and MRI.

In Ontario, breast screening is covered by OHIP and is offered at hospitals and community imaging clinics. Requisitions for additional screening (like breast ultrasound for dense breasts) are often rejected by hospitals. To avoid this from happening, ask your health care provider for a paper requisition and book your own appointment at a community clinic that offers screening breast ultrasound.

🔹 First time at a clinic?
Ask if they’d like a copy of your most recent mammogram. You can request these at no cost. If your current imaging centre uses PocketHealth, you can easily email the images.

If you're having trouble getting a requisition from your provider, visit our website for conversation tips to help guide your discussion with your doctor. You can also contact us via email or phone for tips.

There is also a private option for screening ultrasound in Ontario. A downtown Toronto clinic offers 3D breast ultrasound (ABUS). No requisition is needed.
