We provide a variety of flexible options to address your current life stressors. We are located on Main Street in Westlock, Alberta. We also offer direct billing to Alberta Blue Cross , Telus Health, Canada life, Equitable Life, Manulife and Chamber of Commerce. Our hours are flexible to meet your needs offering day, evening, and weekend appointments. If you are an individual, a couple, a family, or the care giver of children in need of counselling services, The Path Forward is here to help. We offer assistance to those experiencing immediate or long term difficulties with a wide range of issues including: depression, anxiety, addiction (or third party addiction), occupational challenges, divorce/ custody/ access, relationship issues, grief or loss, adjustment to change and trauma. We are proud to announce we now offer Pet Therapy! . Therapy dogs, like our wonderful Gigi, offer unconditional love, stress relief, and also have a calming effect on the people they visit. Pet therapy is a way for people, in lonely, stressful, or traumatic situations to experience companionship with the pets by lifting spirits, lessening the feelings of depression and isolation, and reduce anxiety. These therapy dogs, also provide a non-stressful, non -judgemental environment. Whether you are in a difficult life situation seeking guidance and insight, or you are just wanting to talk to someone about life's stresses and concerns, we can help. The Path Forward Counselling Services will work closely with you to address current issues, devise and implement solution focused counselling strategies and create opportunities for positive change.
