We have almost survived another dark dreary winter. It is no longer complete darkness when I leave work.

To be clear winter is not over and we will still suffer lots of cold and snow, but we will be able to see what is going on outside!

Our Vision & Mission

Community Pharmacy was founded on a heartfelt dream—to create a pharmacy in Wetaskiwin that feels personal, welcoming, and deeply connected to the people it serves. That dream began with Rod and his late wife, Donna, whose shared vision was rooted in compassion, meaningful relationships, and genuine care for their community. Her influence continues to be felt in the warmth, values, and purpose behind everything we do.

Today, Community Pharmacy remains guided by that same spirit. Owned and operated by co-owners Rod and Cynthia, who are committed to serving Wetaskiwin with integrity, kindness, and exceptional patient care. Our goal is simple yet powerful: to be a pharmacy people trust, return to, and feel comfortable reaching out to. Our patients are never just prescriptions, we take the time to listen, to answer questions, and to support each person’s health journey with compassion and respect.

Our space reflects our values. From the warmth of the fireplace and sitting area—where coffee and conversation are always welcome—to our take-a-book, leave-a-book library and shop-local boutique, we aim to create a place that brings people together. Supporting local businesses and uplifting one another strengthens our community, and we are proud to be part of that shared growth.

Community Pharmacy exists to serve with heart. To connect. To care deeply. And to continue building a pharmacy that truly belongs to the community it was created for.

It was cold for the start of winter. In spring the same temperature will feel almost tropical. The parade was a great way to get in the Christmas spirit.
