Why the "heavy feelings" happen during perimenopause. 🧠⤵️

We often talk about the physical clichés of this transition, but the emotional shift is often the most disruptive. Here's what's actually happening behind the scenes:

1️⃣ The Neuro-Connection: Your brain is loaded with hormone receptors. As estrogen dips, so does your serotonin (the "feel-good" chemical), leading to what many call "perimenopausal rage."
2️⃣ The Sleep-Mood Loop: Chronic sleep disruption impairs the amygdala, making you much more likely to experience anxiety and irritability the next day.
3️⃣ High Alert: Fluctuating hormones can put your nervous system on "high alert," making light, noise, and even clothing textures feel overwhelming.
