Now that the colder weather is upon us, you might feel your eyes getting drier! It’s completely normal as the cold air and wind causes tears to evaporate faster.
There are a few tips and tricks to help reduce the winter dry eye:
💧Staying hydrated by drinking a lot of fluids is essential for not only your eyes, but for your entire body.
📱 Reduce screen time as much as possible or blink often to produce more tears
🏡 Use a humidifier or keep indoor temperature moderate
🕶️ Block wind using sunglasses or any eye protection
🐟 Supplement with omega-3-rich foods such as fish, flaxseed, and walnuts
👩🏻⚕️ If symptoms persist or worsen, see your optometrist for a more thorough examination!
