Hot vs Cold🍀

Do you find yourself always drinking or eating cold food?
In TCM, that is not a good thing as it may hinder your digestion and energy overtime. This is because in TCM, the weather can affect the body in many ways so properly balancing the things you eat with the timing of the year matters deeply.

For example, if one keeps drinking a lot of iced drinks and raw vegetables in winter, the outside cold and the food's coldness can deplete your digestion because the stomach would have to reheat the food and digest it again. However, having raw food or a smaller amount of cooler food in Summer is better because the environment is warmer.🍀

What type of clothing is Ideal for Acupuncture?

Loose or baggy clothing are usually the best for Acupuncture!
Whenever our practitioners are treating patients, the most points we access are from...

1)Feet up to the knee
2)Wrist up to the elbow

When the clothes are too tight, it may block circulation, and can make the patients more uncomfortable and we want to avoid that as much as we can!🍀

Is acupuncture painful?🍀

This is a lot of peoples worries when they come in for Acupuncture!

Of course since everyone's pain tolerance is different, acupuncture needles can be felt ranging from nothing to a pinch. Usually the patients may feel a pinch upon insertion, but there should be no pain afterwards.

Since the acupuncture needles are just needles, they are usually much more painless compared to Medical Syringes.
