Kids don’t need to be still or be quiet to receive reflexology. They get to come exactly as they are.
(although parents are often surprised by how calm their children feel - without being asked to relax)

As an ADHDer myself, creating a safe, flexible, and pressure-free space for children is something I’m deeply intentional about. Movement, play, talking, and resting is all part of how kids regulate.

Some kids lie back and rest. Some even fall asleep. Others chat, read, or play. All of it is welcome.

Reflexology offers gentle input that supports the nervous system without forcing or fixing, which helps to meet each child where they’re at, every time.

Parents also get an opportunity to learn simple reflexology moves to support their child at home.

If you’re curious whether reflexology could support your child (ages 3–12), I’m always happy to talk it through 🤍

You read that right. Reflexology workshops and certification course planning is officially in the works.
Once a teacher, always a teacher - the classroom just looks a little different now.
Stay tuned. 💗

Earlier this month, I wrote a blog reflecting on comparison, which is a theme that often feels especially present at the start of a new year.

We’ve all heard the phrase, “Don’t compare your Chapter 1 to someone else’s Chapter 20.”

In this reflection, I explore taking this phrase one step further, and how letting go of comparing chapters altogether can help shift the focus back to honouring your own story.

If you’ve ever felt yourself measuring whether you’re “behind” or “ahead,” this one might resonate.

The blog is now up on my website - https://www.alongthewaywellness.com/stop-comparing-chapters-why-your-healing-journey-cant-be-measured/ 💕

I’ve welcomed children as young as 3.5 years old into my treatment room, and parents are often surprised by how calm and settled their children are during sessions.

Kids don’t have to lie still, be silent, or fall asleep (although some do!). They’re welcome to play, read books, chat, or simply be themselves all while still receiving the benefits of reflexology.

Sessions are always adapted with gentle pressure, shorter timing, and guided by what the child needs in that moment.

One of the things I love most is showing parents simple reflexology moves they can use at home between sessions, so support doesn’t stop when they walk out the door.

I’ll be sharing more soon about some of the most common reasons parents bring their children for reflexology, for those who are curious.

Ok, can we talk about this sign for a moment?! Just look at it!!

Besides the fact that it’s incredibly well done, down to the last detail, and turned out better than I could have imagined, it represents something that means more than anything to me - support.
My amazing long time friend, .creatives.co gifted me this sign. She took hours out of her own schedule to do this for me and for my business. I can’t tell you how meaningful it is when friends - especially ones who have known me through many different chapters of my life - meet me where I am now, and support me loudly and proudly. Because I know this isn’t always the case. And I’m so so thankful to have friends like her. Becky, you’re a real one. 💕

Alright, enough sappy stuff. Check out my girl .creatives.co for some fantastic laser cutting - you won’t be disappointed!

I remember those days… seeing that pic for the first time in a long time was definitely a bit jarring.

It took more than one wake up call for me to finally make a change. I’m so glad I listened. And I’m so grateful for the things that helped me heal and grow through it, and even more grateful I have the opportunity now to offer them to others.

You might notice that you take on the energy or emotions of others easily.

That you can walk into a room and feel everything.

When your attention is constantly outward -
focused on others, on work, on screens, on the noise around you -
you slowly disconnect from yourself.

And that disconnection is what can make you more sensitive to the energies and emotions around you.

The good news is you don’t always need big rituals, boundaries, or sage to protect your energy (though there’s a time and place for those).

Sometimes, it’s as simple as your breath.

Just one minute.
A couple times a day.
Pause.
Close your eyes.
Bring your awareness to your breath.
Feel the inhale. Feel the exhale.
Notice the subtle movements coming from the body and movement of this energy.

As you’re breathing, remember: everything external doesn’t belong to you -
but this breath does.
These gentle movements in your body do.

Every time you breathe consciously like this,
you’re reclaiming your energy.

You’re resetting your system.

And that is powerful.
