Smile Transformation by Dr Levy!
The following case shows a band of very thin tissues with the frenum attachment very high on the gum margins. This must be corrected before any orthodontic treatment is done in order to have proper gum margins and the frenum not pulling it down. With a straightforward gum graft "FREE GINGIVAL GRAFT' and a frenectomy (releasing of the frenum pull) a correction is achieved and proper thickness of the gums are now present before starting orthodontic treatment.
