TIPS AND PRACTICES TO OPEN YOUR THIRD EYE
Third eye meditation, just like any form of meditation requires you to stay put in a calm environment and rake in the benefits of soothing sounds and vibes. To begin with, start by sitting in a comfortable position atop a chair or the floor. Keep your spine erect, shoulders relaxed and the hands-on the knees. Jaw, stomach and the face should be totally relaxed and open to the positive energy.
Start by lightly bringing together the index finger to the thumb and close your eyes, gently. Next, breathe slowly. Inhale, exhale through the nose. With the eyes still closed, try to look up at the third eye, located just between your eyebrows. You can also make use of your fingers to locate the exact point.
Next, breathe slowly and channelize your gaze and concentrate on this point. Continue to do so until you spot a white or a bluish-white light to appear or surround you. As you do so, you enter a transcendental form of healing, where your concentration will be at its highest and most effective. This is the state when you would want to let go of bad energies, thoughts and simply focus on maximizing the potential of the Ajna chakra.
The focus should be on your priority.
Stay in this position for 10-20 minutes, at a stretch. Relaxing music can be used to further channelize your concentrative powers. Post this, end the session by exhaling a deep breath, bringing the palms together in front of the heart and return back to the first position. Blink your eyes open and stay in this position for a second or two, before continuing with your regular activities. Doing this simple activity every day, either in the morning or before retiring for the night can work wonders and heal your chakras.
