February hands is a real thing!
Winter is when we make our handsoap with our pasture raised pork lean fat, our home grown flowers and herbs.
Our recipe is perfect for active hands that get washed often, here is why:
Pork tallow is excellent for skin because
its fatty acid profile closely mimics human sebum, allowing for deep absorption, intense hydration, and barrier repair. It is rich in vitamins A, D, E, and K, which promote skin elasticity, healing, and protection against environmental damage.
Mini FAQ:
Does it smell like bacon?
Nope. Our tallow is rendered slowly and cleanly. It has a neutral, slightly sweet scent that picks up the herbs and flowers we add.
Is pork tallow good for sensitive skin?
Yes. It’s gentle and bio-compatible, working with your skin instead of against it.
Is it greasy?
Not at all. It froth beautifully and leave your hands squeaky clean.
Do you make it all yourselves?
Absolutely. From raising the pigs to rendering the fat and infusing herbs, every step happens on our family farm. No outsourcing, no shortcuts.
Our soap has no fillers or detergents - just pure, skin-loving ingredients: Pasture-Raised Pork Tallow infused with Calendula, Wild Oregano and Comfrey, Sodium Hydroxide (Lye), Essential Oil: Clementine (only a few drops).
Our soap bundle includes two 41.1 grams handsoaps and comes with a complimentary, lovely and perfectly fitting soap dish with a removable tray to keep your soap dry and accommodate all sink types.
Soaps take around 4 weeks to cure, in the picture you see the variation state of curing and colouring as it is hand made. All soap sold are fully cured.
