Cariboo-Chilcotin Funeral Services is based in Williams Lake and is offering our services throughout the entire area as well as operating the crematorium for the City of Williams Lake. Our licensed funeral directors and staff have years of experience, David Wilson (formally of Compassionate Care Funerals) has an excellent reputation in the community as a funeral director and embalmer. Funeral arrangements can simply be made by calling us when a death occurs to initiate the process, then followed up with an arrangements either in home or by appointment.

The Cariboo-Chilcotin Funeral Service Ltd. family are deeply saddened that David died on October 6, 2021 in Victoria, BC.
David was a man of great proportion with his kindness, dedication and pride of his family. He was integral to the inception of our Company in Williams Lake, BC, his input, loyalty and commitment were greatly appreciated by all. He proudly and empathetically served the Williams Lake and Cariboo Chilcotin communities as a Funeral Director for close to 20 years. David was a man of monumental presence, he had the attention of everyone in the room. It is through continued sharing of memories that we will all keep David in our thoughts and hearts, with gratitude for having known him.
We extend our sincere condolences to Darlene, the Wilson family, David’s friends and congregation.

Luc LaPrairie has been a funeral director since 1984.
He starting his career as an apprentice at Gregory's Williams Lake Funeral Home, then 1997 he went out on his own and started "La Prairies Alternative Funeral Services", he quickly gained a reputation as "the" funeral director in Williams Lake. In January 2017 he sold his business to Cariboo-Chilcotin Funeral Service Ltd. and joined our team as a mentor and consultant. On May 4th,2018 Luc was honored with a Dedicated Service Award for his commitment and contributions to the profession by the BC Funeral Service Association. Good job Luc!
