Ever wonder what your charitable gift really costs you? Thanks to tax credits, the number on your receipt isn’t always the number that comes out of your pocket.

A $5,000 donation might only cost you about $3,000 after tax credits, and still delivers the full $5,000 of impact to excellent, local health care!

You can support the WDMH Foundation in many ways, including gifts of shares, cash, cheque, and more.

Contact Erin Kapcala, Lead–Personalized Giving, to learn how your gift can make a difference and help you save on taxes.

Look who popped by the office today to celebrate her 5th birthday! 🎈🧁🎉

Annie is a therapy dog who visits patients and staff regularly at WDMH. She always makes everyone smile, and brightens their day!

Today was extra special as the birthday girl shared cupcakes with everyone - thanks Annie for making our day!

Completion of the new Dundas Manor is getting closer! 🩷💜

More than 200 of Ontario’s long-term care homes are located in rural communities. Many are older homes that need to be rebuilt so that rural seniors can continue to age in place in their home communities.

Dundas Manor in Wi******er is one project already well underway. Rebuilding this much-needed home will add more spaces for seniors who need the care and support that long-term care provides.

Construction of this new home is contributing $69 million to GDP and $48 million in labour income. Once complete, the redeveloped Dundas Manor will be part of a campus of care, helping to integrate the LTC home into the broader health care system and ensuring residents can conveniently connect to the care they need.

♠️ ACED IT!

The Kin Club of Russell did it again.

On Thursday night, the club hosted its annual Catch the Ace Gala, and the impact was nothing short of incredible. More than $3 million was donated to 25 local charities. The WDMH Foundation was proud to be among the recipients, receiving a generous $282,717.40 through this year’s event.

Funds raised will support the WDMH Healthcare Undesignated Fund, allowing the Foundation to direct resources where they are needed most at either Wi******er District Memorial Hospital or Dundas Manor.
