I am a Professor Emeritus in the Faculty of Nursing, University of Windsor. My previous roles include two terms as the Dean (2010 to 2020) and being a founding member of the Tau Upsilon Chapter of STTI. As a nurse educator, researcher and academic leader, I value my connection to other Sigma nurses internationally.

I am Edward Cruz and I am the current President of Tau Upsilon Chapter. I am an Associate Professor and Associate Dean, Undergraduate Programs at the Faculty of Nursing, University of Windsor. I joined Sigma to connect with a global community of nursing scholars and leaders who share my commitment to advancing nursing knowledge and transforming healthcare systems to be more equitable and inclusive. As an internationally educated nurse and academic leader, I value Sigma's platform for fostering international collaboration and supporting nurse researchers who are working to address critical workforce challenges and improve nursing education worldwide.

My name is Katrin. I started my nursing career as an RPN and later earned my BScN from the
University of Windsor, where I graduated in 2024. I currently work as an RN in Northern
Canada. I am passionate about community engagement and professional development. My
involvement with Tau Upsilon provides valuable opportunities in these areas. As a member of
Sigma, I look forward to connecting with diverse leaders, advocating for health improvements,
and contributing to the strengthening of the nursing community.

I became a member of Sigma in 2019, and soon after joined the board as a student representative before transitioning into my current role. During the week, I work as a primary care nurse practitioner in Harrow. Previously, I worked as a registered nurse in the ICU. I am also involved with the nursing faculty at the University of Windsor facilitating in the simulation lab. In my free time, I enjoy being active outdoors and socializing with our friends.

Hi everyone! My name is Gauri, and I’m excited to return as Publicity Chair/Newsletter Editor for Sigma TU for the second year. I completed my BScN at the University of Windsor (Class of 2024) and am now in my second year of the MScN program while working as a hospital case manager and previously worked as an RN at Henry Ford Hospital Detroit. Alongside this, I’ve been a GA, serve as VP Finance & Extracurriculars for Graduate Nursing Society, a Senior Mentor for UWNS, and serve on the recruitment committee. During my undergrad, I had the privilege of serving as Nursing Society President, being a Peer Mentor in the General lab, and held roles in several student organizations and nursing committees. Hello, my name is Brandon Boundy, and I am a 4th-year RPN–BScN Pathway student. I’m passionate about leadership, mentorship, and creating meaningful opportunities for nursing students to learn, grow, and connect.

I previously served as Vice President of the St. Clair College, Chatham-Kent Nursing Society (2023/2024), where I helped strengthen partnerships with local organizations such as the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance Foundation and the Chatham-Kent Hospice. Through this work, we created meaningful volunteer pathways at the CK Hospice for BScN, Practical Nursing, and PSW students, especially in palliative and end-of-life care.

I currently serve as the student liaison between the University of Windsor Nursing Society and the St. Clair College, Chatham-Kent Nursing Society. I am also the student representative on the Curriculum and Evaluation Committees, and the St. Clair College Research and Scholarship Committee.

I’m looking forward to a year filled with collaboration, student engagement, and continuing to make a positive impact together!

◦ GPA 3.5+
