My new post is up!!!

Join me as I reflect on a half year of adventures on the road. Besides visiting many beautiful and interesting places across North America, I have been collecting a list of places to go, things to see, and a list of things I wanted to accomplish, such as creating new dishes. I have also been setting time aside for self reflection. The trail was always a wonderful time for this.

As I continue my journey, I invite you to hold me accountable to my list and ask me how I am doing. Be curious, be stern.

If you ever want to hike and visit Gros Morne National Park, this is the post for you! Read along as I share my experience on the technical terrain of The Long Range Traverse in Newfoundland and Labrador. We had to navigate through storm, swarms of black flies, and endless tuckamore. The struggles on this trail reminded me of the importance of listening to the wisdom of others and rest.

As you may have guessed, I love the outdoors. And specifically, I love hiking!

You might be thinking it’s unrealistic, maybe even irresponsible to set out on a long-distance hike for a person with RA. Well, you’re right, a long-distance hike might not be for everyone, but there are lots of things you can do to give yourself the best chance at getting out and enjoying the trail no matter how short or long your trail turns out to be.

My first post of 2025 is up!

In my most recent post, I am sharing news about a new journey I am about to take in April - hiking and travelling all around North America for a whole year with my husband in our van. Like my rheumatoid arthritis, I know this journey will have its ups and downs, but for me, the time to start this journey is now when I am still physically able to.
