Windsor-Celebrate the Spectrum: Tie-Dye Together!
March 25, 4-6:30PM

Join us for a joyful day of creativity, connection, and celebration! Celebrate the Spectrum: Tie-Dye Together! is a free, inclusive community event that brings families from across Ontario together to honor creativity, individuality, and connection.

Families will gather in a welcoming and supportive environment to design custom shirts using a vibrant palette of colors. This hands-on activity encourages self-expression while offering a sensory-friendly experience for children and youth.

In addition to tie-dye, families can enjoy:

Entertainment- Balloon Makers, Face painting (4:30pm-6:30pm)

Community partner booths

Crafts, sensory play, Lego

Light snacks and more!

"Hi, my name is Alexandra, but you can call me Allie. I graduated with honors from the Drama in Education and Community program in 2016 and earned my Education degree from the University of Windsor in 2018, both right here in Windsor, Ontario. I’m also a supply teacher in Windsor, and I have over ten years of experience working with individuals with autism through the Autism Services Inc. Bruce Awad Summer Program.

I’m really passionate about helping people express themselves, communicate, and advocate for their own needs. Working in speech pathology really gives me that best of both worlds feeling, blending my love for teaching with one-on-one support to make a meaningful difference."

Do you wonder what everyone is talking about when they bring up Neurodiversity? How do you know if the therapies you've chosen are Neurodiversity affirming? Do you want them to be?
What does it mean to support your Neurodiverse child so they may be autonomous and valued in all their wonderful ways? Neurodiversity means shifting away from a deficit-based view to an acceptance-based perspective, embracing your child's unique way of experiencing the world, and advocating for environments that accommodate their needs rather than expecting them to conform to neurotypical standards. Does this then mean your child doesn't need therapy? No. Does this leave you curious??? Then come on out and join us as we give you a brief overview of Neurodiversity and some helpful tips to make celebrations like Halloween successful and meaningful for your whole family.

Join us on the 27th! If you don’t know how to play, there is a lesson at 9am before the event starts.

Grab your paddles and join the fun at our charity pickleball tournament! It's the perfect event to meet new friends, enjoy the social side of the sport, and play a few exciting games in a relaxed setting. Beginners are welcome, so bring your friends and family for a fantastic day out. The Tecumseh Pickleball Association is even offering a FREE lesson before the tournament begins!
