It’s been a while since I’ve shown my face on here 💕 Life has been beautifully full — balancing two practices, raising two amazing boys, being present as a wife, keeping up with friendships, and trying to squeeze in moments for self-care (because we all know how easily that slips to the bottom of the list 🙈).

As women, we often feel the pressure to “do it all,” and while it’s not always easy, I’m grateful that I get to do all these things. What makes it possible is the love, support, and encouragement from the people around me — family, friends, colleagues, and this community.

This is just a little reminder to all the women out there: you’re doing better than you think. Life doesn’t have to look perfect to be meaningful. Celebrate your wins, give yourself grace, and lean on your people. We’re stronger together 💪✨

We are excited to welcome our newest associate Optometrist, Dr. Abigail Taouil, to the team! With a passion for personalized patient care and a strong background in ocular disease, she is here to help our community see their best. She will be practicing out of our Lasalle and Harrow location. She is accepting new patients.

Read her full BIO below, and let's welcome Dr. Taouil to LaSalle.

Originally from Kingsville, Ontario, Dr. Abigail Taouil earned her undergraduate degree in Biological Sciences & Nutrition from the University of Guelph before completing her doctorate at the Michigan College of Optometry, where she graduated in 2025. During her time there, she served as president of the Canadian Professionals Club, demonstrating her commitment to leadership and community involvement.

Dr. Taouil completed her clinical training at multiple clinics throughout the metro Detroit area, where she gained valuable experience in specialty contact lens fittings and dry eye management. She also trained at the Detroit Veterans Hospital, where she developed her skills in managing ocular disease. She is dedicated to providing compassionate, patient-centered care and values the importance of clear communication in building lasting doctor-patient relationships.

Outside the clinic, Dr. Taouil enjoys spending time with her family and is proud to be serving the Windsor-Essex community she calls home.
