Christmas Eve Swim Crew 🎄 🏊🏻♀️
I’ve been quiet for a little while on here, and here’s why. As I get further along in this pregnancy my body doesn’t like to do all that it used to. I’m becoming more and more limited by P***c Symphesis Pain, and syncope and doing typical activities like putting on my socks and pants, standing on one leg and running are now very painful and have to be modified. I have been seeing a physiotherapist (yes, I am one too but you can’t effectively diagnose and treat yourself), and continuing with swimming, modified resistance training and some gentle biking on the trainer to keep my body healthy and moving as I dive into the third trimester. It kills me to no longer run and to have to modify so many things in my life, but I know it is temporary and will definitely be worth it in the end.
Remember, every season of training is different and performance will ebb and flow. This time last year I was just coming off an Ironman build. Now I’m completing daily exercise recommendations.
Grateful I have my swim group to hold me accountable and to support me on the days I feel frustrated.
