I’ve been fortunate to have close friends, coworkers, community & family to step in and offer support in times of struggle
: posts asks to support at risk individuals in our City,
: provides resources across the province for trans & q***r individuals
: rescues dogs internationally, through foster based care
my mother passed in September 2025, we had the same birthday, on her 38th birthday I showed up right on time 💁🏻‍♀️ & as she never failed to remind me: the nurses brought her a chocolate cupcake with a candle
my parents always made a point to support local
my practice is q***r inclusive, asks for you pronouns in the intake form, and we respect them, no questions asked
people deserve to feel seen, & appreciated, as they are
In December 2018, we saw a post from a foster to adopt program, featuring our senior dog Luna - she had been attacked in Greece, recovered, only to discover she had severe heartworm disease
with donations, and treatments, she again recovered, with only a few side effects (blindness)
I know there’s fancy donate buttons I could post in stories, but lets me honest Facebook & Instagram don’t need more engagement
the fact of the matter is these are three organizations put in the work & spread the love, they would grind to a halt without community
for these groups: every dollar counts
but sometimes, funds are tight
that’s okay!
go to their pages, interact with their communities, boost their posts, donate your time or attend to events
if your funds are free flowing: I will give a gift certificate for a 30 min therapeutic massage, for every $50 donated
(gift certificates have no cash value & cannot be reimbursed through insurance, proof of donation required)

Do I know what I did to my neck this morning? Nope.
But… ouch.
Maybe I slept funny, maybe it was the 27 chapters before bed sitting like a shrimp, maybe it’s the sudden chill in the air, or poor posture through six treatments
I’ve had whiplash three times in my life, so when I turn into a bobble head like this
(one of the above, plus whiplash) is my best guess as to why 🤷🏻‍♀️
All I know is I am grateful for KT tape & knowing how to apply it
That’s how I kept my head on my shoulders today 🙃

happy monday 🌱
my schedule has altered slightly for the spring, blocking off 3pm - 4pm daily, to accommodate my shifting family schedule
it will shift again in the summer months, (to include that hour)
& then again, when school returns in the fall
on my end, I already have the entirety of 2026 mapped out 🗓️
on your end, there’s still 8 weeks at a time available for online booking

A government response was recently received to the petition presented to parliament in November 2025 that requested HST/GST exemption for massage therapy in Canada.

The federal Minister of Finance, François-Philippe Champagne, indicated that the government understands that massage therapy is regulated in five provinces, and reiterated that HST/GST exemption is not automatic, and requires a formal application to the Minister of Finance.

Champagne confirmed that a formal request for exemption has been received and is currently being reviewed by the Ministry of Finance.

We will be using this encouraging response to support our request for a follow-up meeting with Remi Gagnon, Policy Advisor for the Ministry of Finance. We met with him this summer and spoke about how HST exemption would improve healthcare access and ensure that massage therapy is aligned with other regulated health professions regulated in five provinces.

We look forward to providing further updates as this issue progresses.

An RMT in British Columbia recently created a new federal petition to gather further support for HST/GST exemption for massage therapy in Canada.

This petition is sponsored by MP Brad Vis, who has previously championed similar exemption petitions directed towards the previous federal government.

A related petition, recently presented in the House of Commons by Newfoundland MP Jonathan Rowe, has already mandated a government response. Every new petition presented with maximum signatures further amplifies our collective voice and compels the government to act on this crucial issue.

having to lean into moss girl fall more than I’d like this year…

the saying is grief comes in waves, but nobody mentioned it would hit you from behind, or knock your feet out from under you as soon as you think you have a handle on things
🌊 🌊
I haven’t been too lucky health wise this year
Four rounds of antibiotics, two rounds of steroids, countless puffers (which is unheard of for me, historically speaking)
& finally, I’ve been showing consistent improvement: we’re leaning heavily into the possibility that this is asthma
🌊 🌊
In September my father in law, and mother, passed away within a week of each other
Both extremely unexpected
My husband and i, now have no surviving parents
🌊 🌊
They say grief hits your immune system
& cold and flu season waits for no one
I’ve ended up physically exhausted in much fewer appointments
all while experiencing a weekly migraine (minimum) for the past four weeks
🌊 🌊
So, we pivot & adapt to avoid severe burnout
Here are some of those adaptations for your consideration:
🌊 My online calendar is listed through to the end of 2025, that’s all they wrote folxs, evenings included
🌊 Please, consider booking/ cancelling online, or in person, I would hate for you to miss an opportunity because I hadn’t checked my work phone as frequently
🌊 If it is within 24 hours of your appointment: text me directly, NOT Shanti (I manage my own calendar, outside of emergencies)
🌊 My schedule will be capped at 6 appointments per day, four days a week
🌊… more often being blocked at 5 per day in order to leave some wiggle room for emergent bookings
