It was a great pleasure for the second year to be a part of the Alzheimer's Society Charity Coffee Break. I had the help of two of our beloved residents Judy and Marlene. We had some good conversations with all who stopped by to enjoy a hot cup of coffee donated by Tim Horton's. We handed out lots of information and pins.
All the donations went to a fantastic charity. I send thank you's to everyone who participated.

The Christmas spirit is alive and well at Devonshire Retirement Residence! 🎄✨ These beautiful Christmas trees perfectly exemplify the magic of Christmas for our residents and visitors alike. A heartfelt thank you to our decorating committee for doing an amazing job, each and every year!

What’s your favourite thing about this time of year?

Our resident had the pleasure of being hosted by the students at Immaculate Conception Grade School for a morning of Christmas fun. They were met at the front doors and guided into a location set up with so many fun activities. The residents enjoyed so many fun Christmas performances from kindergarten all the way to grade 8. It was a morning filled with magic. The kids showed our residents a spectacular time. Everyone was filled with laughter. They served us hot chocolate and many deserts. We enjoyed the fun crafts they had created especially for us. They made cards for us to take home and enjoy. Each card had its own special touch. We have been involved with this school and its many students for over a year now and they know how to show our residents they care and they matter. Mrs K and Heather the principal get a huge kudos from all of us here.
The residents took 150 of the canned food collected and donated to the schools feed the kids campaign. The residents here never seem to surprise me with their kind hearts.

Thank you to Immaculate Conception for a fabulous morning and a wonderful time.

It's that time of year to celebrate everything about christmas. Our residents created some beautiful christmas wreath for their doors.
They worked hard and it definitely shows. They all did an amazing job. So much color and creativity.
Show the residents some love, let each person know how much of a great job they have done.

Happy hour a time for music and socializing. Frendships and drinks. Its a night of togetherness filled with laughs and good conversation.
Every Friday evening the residents enjoy the company with residents from Crawford and Riverside. It is a nice time to just unwind from a great week of activities.
Everyone is welcome. If you want to enjoy some great company join us every Friday on the Crawford or Riverside building.

Amazing Job Pauline!
Pauline is one of or spectacular residents. Pauline wanted to showcase her finished family tree. She worked very hard to organize each picture to how she remembered each one. She wanted it to be a surprise when she shared it. She explained to me what each picture meant and represented to her. Pauline shared how this took her back down memory lane while sharing she cried many many tears, while carefully placing each beautiful memory.

Memories were meant to last a lifetime. Im very proud of you Pauline and I thank you for sharing this masterpiece with all of us!!
