We’re slowly leveling up our setup with every show we do. If you’ve been with us since day one, you’ve probably seen our CEO Bob’s photo holding it down on the table. Our old printer didn’t quite do him justice, so upgrading his picture has been on the wish list for a while.

We recently made the swap to Oak & Willow - Eco-friendly Household Goods for sustainable and healthier cleaning supplies at home. I never even thought about the impact it would have on our candle making. We prioritize mental and physical wellness with the aromatherapy aspect of our line, so limiting chemicals is also a huge plus!

No matter how clean the kitchen is, I always clear the counter and wipe everything down before I start pouring. I used the Oak and Willow multi purpose spray and thought about how nice it was to not involve our usual chemical laden cleaner.

Then, when wiping down the outer surface of the jars, because drips are just a part of the process, I used the Oak and Willow solid dish soap - which swiped the wax right off like a dream might I add.

I pour over silicone mats, so I can peel off any drops of soy wax and save them for the next round of candles. Those mats, my stir stick, and double boiler bits all got scrubbed down and cleaned with the solid dish soap. It felt really good to not only use eco-friendly products, but to be supporting a fellow woman owned, Canadian business.
