Warrant issued for suspect in multiple theft-related offences

The Windsor Police Service is seeking the public’s assistance in locating a 44-year-old man wanted in connection with multiple theft-related offences.

At approximately 11:45 p.m. on June 29, surveillance footage shows the suspect entering the parking lot of a commercial facility in the 1500 block of Walker Road. Shortly thereafter, a stolen vehicle is shown departing the property.

Approximately 30 minutes later, the suspect was spotted entering a secure compound in the 2700 block of Central Ave., where he loads stolen property into the stolen vehicle.

Through investigation, officers have since identified the suspect as Richard P. Trudell.

Trudell is wanted on the following charges:
•Failure to comply with a release order (x 5)
•Theft of a motor vehicle
•Possession of break-in instruments
•Break-and-enter and commit at a place other than a dwelling
•Possession of property obtained by crime (under $5,000)

Suspects sought after firearm incident

The Windsor Police Service seeks the public’s assistance identifying two suspects following a firearm-related incident in the city’s west end.

Shortly after 10:30 p.m. on July 20, 2025, police responded to a report of a disturbance near the intersection of Baby Street and Mill Street. Through investigation, officers determined that a verbal dispute involving four individuals escalated into a physical confrontation when one of the men brandished a firearm and pointed it at another. A second suspect also appeared to be in possession of a firearm. The suspects then fled the area on foot. They were last seen running westbound on Bloomfield Road at Brock Street.

The other involved parties were seen fleeing from the area, travelling southbound on Mill Street in a white Mini Cooper.

No physical injuries have been reported in connection with this incident.

The first suspect is described as a light-skinned male, approximately 20 years old, wearing a grey and black hoodie (hood up), blue jeans, and black shoes.

The second suspect is described as a middle eastern male, approximately 20 years old, with curly hair, wearing a white t-shirt and jeans.

Investigators ask residents and business owners in the area to check their dash-cam or surveillance footage between 10 p.m. and 11 p.m. on July 20 for evidence related to this incident.

Two arrested after home invasion and armed robbery

The Windsor Police Service has arrested two men in connection with a home invasion and knifepoint robbery that occurred earlier this month.

Shortly before 2 a.m. on July 5, 2025, officers responded to a report of a home invasion in the1700 block of Northway Avenue. Through investigation, officers determined that two male suspects had unlawfully entered the residence and confronted the occupants, who were asleep at the time.

One of the suspects, brandishing a knife, demanded the victims turn over their cellphones and other electronics. The suspects ultimately fled the scene with six cellphones.

No physical injuries were reported.

Shortly before 2:30 a.m., On July 15, 2025, officers located and arrested one suspect in the 900 block of Wyandotte Street East. The second suspect was taken into custody around 3 p.m. the following day in the 300 block of Glengarry Avenue.

Sean Jamieson, 46, has been charged with:
• Break-and-enter and commit into dwelling-house
• Robbery with an offensive weapon

David James Ennis, 45, has been charged with:
• Break-and-enter and commit into dwelling-house
• Robbery with an offensive weapon
• Failure to comply with a probation order
