Over the past several months, Braemar residents and students from Howick Central Public School have been exchanging pen pal letters! After several written interactions, this month Braemar hosted Ms. Smith's Grade 7 class from Howick Central Public School providing an opportunity for the two groups to meet and interact. While visiting, the participants engaged in a variety of activities fostering conversation and laughter. At the close of the day, three students performed a musical ensemble and residents had the pleasure of hearing a speech written by one of the students about the history of Howick Central Public School. A special thank you to Ms. Smith and others who brought this impactful intergenerational program to life!
