Hello Friday! We’re open today and we welcome you back, and appreciate your patience while I needed some solitude in my sickness. Which isn’t totally true, y’all know that Dragon is constantly by my side! He’s probably the only one who can tolerate my pathetic sorry ass when I get like this. And bless our friends and neighbours checkin in, thank you for the homemade lovin spoonfuls. (Still managing mostly liquids) And not to mention the two angels we have helping us with snow shovelling and keeping the shop and driveway clear. Honestly, with the two of us sick, yup, poor Scott has it too, and I don’t know what’s worse, being sick or having to look after me when I’m this sick and miserable. Scottie says when I get this knocked out it’s like I have a ‘man cold’ 😂 yeah, it really is that bad.😏
We are grateful for all the blessings. Thanks y’all!

In other news, Blyth is a beautiful winter wonderland right now, so stunning! The roads and sidewalks are clear and we’re grateful to be open.

Do you have a vision? I did when I wanted to create something colourful, and so these turquoise pots came into reality! Everything I create comes from the heart. ❤️
This year why not create something yourself or give the gift of creating with one of our gift certificates.

Just some pure holiday sights and sounds for you, including Dragon burping 😏
We are back, we are open, things are sorta unpacked, and we’re still doing laundry, ya know the usual stuff after a holiday.

We went to Pinery Provincial Park, a place we used to camp at before we got a noodle horse, ya can’t put them in a tent, unless your tent can fit a couch! It’s on Lake Huron, close to us, so not far to go for some much needed rest.
It was barefoot weather mostly, and we got a fair bit of rain, but had some gorgeous sun too! The park is beautiful, we enjoyed it walking out every day. Dragon was exhausted from all the walks and all the tick inspections. They had a resurgence of them in the park, but no worries we found every one that thought they’d hitch a ride. The worst was trying to get one out of his paw, long toe beans makes it difficult to get in and get it out, and tender skin inside the toe beans hurts when I yanked that blood sucker out. Dragon was brave. 🥺.

A little drama while on a long walk, Dragon must have knocked or scraped his quick (that was healing and scabbed over) and the next thing you know it’s a blood bath. (FYI Blood bath is not an exaggeration, as greyhounds have more red blood cells than white so they bleed profusely)
We tried but was no way he could walk back, and 86lbs is a lot to carry for a half hour plus walk. Good thing we met up with two delightful young ladies in the parking lot as we turned to go back. As we were walking past Dragon went right over to them as to say “hello will you give us a lift”? and looks at me as to say “this how we go back” We cannot thank them enough for their help, they came to the rescue and gave us a lift back to our campsite, we’re ever grateful!

Now it’s back to wearing socks, for all of us!

We look forward to seeing y’all now that we’re back. Ever grateful to our besties for loaning us their Dreamboat RV, we had a blast!

It’s true, we’re finally taking our long awaited time off for a much needed vacation and couldn’t be happier about it!

Our shop will be closed starting October 7th and reopen on October 28th.

Also take note to save the date for October 25th. I am vending at this years Gaol BOO-tique 2025 at the Find me in the Governor’s house, main entrance by the stairs. Offering Card Readings all things magical! Hopefully I’ll have more of my drool worthy handmade pottery cauldron cups, for sure some smudges, unique crystals, and much more.
So come on out for a spooktacular day!

What is a Wonky Frog?

Wonky Frog Studio is not just any shop, but our little shop with a lot. In fact, we even coined the “littleshopwithalot” hashtag. Our story began over 20 years ago as two artists taking on commissions and assisting with graphics. Continuing our story, we’ve expanded everything we offer, and are actively involved in our community to give back when and where we can.

In the shop you’ll find locally sourced handmade goods created with positive intention by our many Makers, including ourselves, owners Scott and Cat. We also have studios where you can explore your creative side. Both of us create for the shop, take on commissions, and teach.

In our Stoneware Potter’s Studio, we have many ways to have fun and create or even learn the craft in detail. We offer a one day Clay Date, as well as Pottery Lessons and Paint Pottery.

Cat is a SoundReiki practitioner, with a certificate in Usui Reiki and is in the process of obtaining her level II in Soundreiki . She is able to work locally or remotely to balance your chakras and activate healing energy with the sound of her voice. As an intuitive guide, she also works with angels & other spirit guides for the benefits of your well being.
