What a great day at the GVC career fair in Winkler where I had the privilege of representing Wellington College of Remedial Massage Therapies!! I have to give a huge shoutout to the students & staff at GVC for having everything so organized. From parking attendants, to help carrying in the bins of supplies, to the breakfast and lunch provided, and everything else that goes on behind the scenes to make it so easy for all the exhibitors.

I had so much fun talking to students about this rewarding career & handing out prizes to some lucky winners. I love seeing the excitement of those that can hardly wait to start their journey in the field of massage therapy. If you’re debating applying to attend Wellington & you’d like to talk to someone who has been through the program, please feel free to reach out & I’d love to help you in anyway that I can. Hopefully I can return to visit with more students again next year.

**NEW SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT**
Lexie obtained her Level 1 & 3 MLD training through the Vodder School in Sept 2025.

She is currently accepting NEW PATIENTS for MLD treatments for those who have a healthy lymphatic system as she refines her techniques before she offers treatments for lymphedema.

Candidates for this treatment would be those seeking treatment for ongoing congestion (sinus/chest), sprains/strains, headaches, post surgery swelling, reducing bruising/hematomas, digestive issues & relaxation (to name a few).

Take note that the initial consultation will be primarily consultation only with very little to no treatment.

The MLD appointments are currently priced at a reduced rate of $85.71 + GST until Jan 2026. In 2026, Lexie plans to open appointments for patients with Lymphedema.

We are happy to have Emily Banman continuing on her clinic hours at Renew and we are excited to announce that Mathew Guenther will be joining us as well!! Both Emily & Mathew are in their Advanced Year (2) at Wellington College of Remedial Massage Therapies and their focus this year incorporates more treatment components of musculoskeletal conditions. If you are booking with a student this year, please take note that their clinic proctor will pop in at some point during the treatment for a brief moment as required by the College in order to mentor the student better and be a source of guidance if needed. If the patient has questions at that time, the proctor can be a resource for both the student and the patient.

Online booking is open and available to o current clients at Renew. If you are a new client at our clinic, please call us at 204-325-8386 to book your first appointment. We are pleased to provide these student services to you at a reduced rate of only $45 for a 60 min massage (tax included). Please take note that these services cannot be claimed on your private insurance or on your income tax as a health related expense as the students are not fully licensed yet. Apparently my caption wasn’t with my post yesterday so I deleted the previous one & posting here again.

Thank you to the host committee for inviting us to volunteer in the medical tent for the Nationals in Winkler & Morden! We had such a fun day yesterday being able to assist the athletes with some injuries & helping them get back onto the field. The real hero’s this week are all the volunteers of the host committee who have planned this event so well and it was all running so smoothly. did an amazing job of organizing the medial tent volunteer schedule and it was an honor to work together with all the other volunteers. We have amazing people in our communities who are ready to serve and help however they can and it’s just inspiring to work alongside all these professionals who have my utmost respect. If you haven’t checked out the U15 Boys & Girls Nationals in Winkler & Morden yet, don’t miss out on this rare opportunity to see so many talented athletes compete from across Canada! It’s pretty incredible. Good luck to all the teams competing!
