True story— One night while studying for an accounting exam, I could not stop thinking about what I wanted my future to look like.
I was always someone who was drawn to the idea of beauty. I just couldn’t think of a career that would emulate my passions. Until I had an epiphany— what about aesthetics? My mother always floated the idea around of wanting to take aesthetic courses but never got around to it (at the time).
I urgently called my sister to tell her I wanted to pursue medical aesthetics. Not in the future but right away. I could tell this is what I needed to do. Although confused, she talked me through my options. It was the 2nd week of December and schools were set to start in January. They were likely all full. I didn’t want to wait though.
I kept calling schools to see if they had a last minute spot, they were all were full. I called everyday until one finally had a last minute vacancy. I applied, got accepted, and then told my parents I’m moving in a week…
Needless to say they thought I was insane and making a rushed decision. However, once I spoke from my heart and told them my plans to open a med spa once I finish. They listened, they supported me, and believed in me. So I was officially doing this. 🫶🏽
I think back to that time in my life a lot. If I had not taken that jump, I wouldn’t have a team I consider my family, we wouldn’t have met so many beautiful clients, and Paris Cosmetology wouldn’t have existed today.
Isn’t that crazy? One silly little overthinking spell sent me on this wild rollercoaster that became this company. Follow your heart always 💗💗💗💗
