This in-person class empowers birthing individuals to truly understand their bodies—focusing on the pelvic floor, core canister, and pelvic biomechanics that play a powerful role in birth.

Through hands-on learning, you’ll discover how alignment, breath, movement, and birth positions can work with your body to boost push power, create more pelvic space, and bring greater ease to the birthing experience. We’ll also explore practical, evidence-informed strategies to support and preserve your perineum and pelvic floor during pregnancy and birth.

Whether you’re taking a full birth course or preparing on your own, this class fills in the essential pieces most traditional courses don’t cover—helping you feel more confident, connected, and prepared for birth.

I’m currently mentoring a massage student therapist from Evolve College of Massage Therapy for prenatal massage therapy.

Sigridur is available from now until June on Corydon and is taking prenatal massage clients. Read all about how she is passionate about suppprting this population (and give her account a follow!!)

Welcome Sigridur Belanger, Student Massage Therapist, to our Corydon location! Sigridur is available Tuesday evenings.

Sigridur is currently a student at Evolve College of Massage Therapy and is on track to graduate in June 2026. Throughout her training, she has developed a strong interest in prenatal massage and is passionate about providing relaxation, and relief to individuals experiencing pregnancy during a period of significant transformation.

She values the connection between mind and body and strives to create a warm, supportive, and safe environment for all clients.

Beyond her studies, Sigridur enjoys reading, learning Métis beadwork in her free time.

Our student massage season typically runs, February - June every year. $42.50 +GST for a one hour appointment, not covered by private health insurance.

My word for 2026 is “ease” which is commonly referred to as “Sukha” in the yoga sutras.

In massage therapy, ease in the body emerges when the nervous system feels safe when slow listening touch is offered.
When appropriate pressure is used.
When we wait for the body to respond rather than pushing.
When we practice holding space.

The breath becomes smooth with an unforced inhalation and exhalation.

We become mindful where we pay attention without tension and there becomes engagement without clinging or resistance.

People are really leaning in to this course and wanting to learn more about how they can prep all aspects of their birth experience from pelvic floor and perineum health to birth advocacy and pelvic biomechanics.
