Meet Zane 👏

Zane is the definition of commitment.
Traveling all the way from Saskatchewan to receive care at our clinic, he’s one of our dedicated patients who goes all-in on his healing. Like many of our out-of-town patients, Zane completes double sessions to make the most of his time with us.

Zane’s injury started on the ranch— First, a rope accident forcefully flipped his leg upward while roping a cow. Then, just 10 months later, his horse stepped into a hole, jarring his back and severely aggravating the injury.

From there, things escalated:
• Severe low back pain
• Numbness and tingling into his legs and feet
• Diagnosed with a bulging discs
• 2 MRIs and a CT scan confirming the damage
• Prescribed multiple medications including tramadol, gabapentin, pregabalin, and duloxetine just to manage the pain and inflammation
• Medical recommendation was a spinal fusion surgery

But Zane wasn’t ready to accept that as his only option. Instead, he chose to address the root cause.

✨ After committing to care:
• Mobility is significantly improved
• Pain, stiffness and numbness in his back and legs is greatly reduced
• Getting back to moving and living again

Zane’s story is what we see time and time again—when patients commit to the right plan, even after being told surgery is the next step, the body has an incredible ability to heal.

We’re so proud to be part of your journey, Zane! 💙

The overlooked truth about chronic back pain.

Have you ever wondered if your chronic back pain is being approached incorrectly?

Most people who come to our clinic have been everywhere and tried everything. They have tried many different treatments and various injections. And they are still stuck in a cycle of temporary relief.

When you look closely at these approaches, they often focus on managing the symptoms around the problem. If spinal compression is the main issue, addressing only the surrounding muscles or joints offers temporary comfort because the compression remains entirely unchanged.

We approach this differently. Spinal decompression combined with class 4 laser therapy addresses the compression directly by creating space and reducing pressure in the spine. Research suggests this multi-modal approach may support tissue repair and improve mobility for many patients.

For those who heal more slowly, adding Hydrowave shockwave therapy can help activate the body's repair systems at a cellular level.

Healing does not happen overnight.

It requires consistency. Our protocol takes about three months because tissue regeneration happens in specific stages. It also requires your active participation. Your sleep quality, stress levels, hydration, and overall belief in your recovery play a massive role in how your body responds to care.

➔ Spinal Decompression creates physical space
➔ Robotic Class 4 Laser therapy supports tissue repair
➔ Magnetic Hydraulic Shockwave therapy may activate regenerative systems

If you are at the end of your rope, ask yourself if you are addressing the cause or just managing the symptoms around it.

Results vary based on individual health status and treatment compliance. This information is educational; consult a healthcare professional for personal medical advice. Every patient is unique; thorough assessments precede all recommendations.

What do you think? Like and comment below if you believe addressing the root cause makes more sense than chasing symptoms.

Patient Story: Mike’s Journey Back to Mobility

For 15 years, Mike lived with consistent back pain.

Herniated discs caused numbness, shooting sciatic pain, and stiffness, making everyday life difficult. Simple activities became exhausting, and because movement hurt so much, he eventually had to give up exercise — which started affecting his overall health and weight.

Mike is a retired miner from Thompson, Manitoba, and years of physical work had taken a toll on his spine.

Then one day, while simply loading the dishwasher, he felt something pop in his back.

That moment triggered the worst flare-up he had experienced in years.

The pain became unbearable.

But Mike was determined to fix the root cause of the problem.
So he made an incredible commitment.

He began traveling over 9 HOURS from Thompson to Winnipeg to receive care at our clinic using robotic laser spinal decompression on an accelerated intensive program.

And the results started showing up quickly.

One of the first changes Mike noticed was that his pain dropped dramatically and he was able to move much easier in the mornings.

Today, Mike says:
“I finally got my mobility and life back.”

Stories like Mike’s are why we do what we do every day.
When the right patient commits to addressing the underlying spinal issue, incredible things can happen.

Thank you for trusting us with your care, Mike — and for making the 9 hour journey to take your life back.

A patient came in for her follow-up during week four, and the first thing she said was "I slept through the night."

That was it.

Not "the pain is gone forever" or "I'm cured." Just... sleep. All the way through. For the first time in three years.

When you've been living with chronic pain that long you forget what normal even feels like, you forget that most people don't wake up five times trying to find a position that doesn't hurt, that most people don't structure their entire day around whether it's a "good pain day" or a "bad pain day."

You just survive.

So when she said those words her whole face looked different. Lighter, like she'd been holding her breath for years and finally remembered how to exhale.

The mailbox thing happened two weeks after that. She walked there and back without stopping, without that pause where you pretend you're checking your phone but really you're just waiting for the stabbing sensation to settle down enough to keep going.

These aren't the Hollywood transformations.

They're the boring ones. The ones nobody makes commercials about.

Sleeping through the night. Walking to get your mail. Standing long enough to make dinner without having to sit down twice.

The things everyone else does without thinking.

I've practiced for 25 years and honestly? These small victories matter more than anything. Because they're the first real proof that maybe life doesn't have to be managed around pain levels anymore.

That maybe you can stop just surviving and start living again.

Results vary for everyone based on their specific situation and commitment to care, but watching someone rediscover these ordinary moments... that's why I do this work.

What's one small thing you'd want back if chronic pain took it away? Drop a comment - I read every one.

What's truly happening beneath the surface?

You finish week one of treatment.

You don't feel different. Maybe you feel the same... or maybe slightly worse as your body adjusts.

The doubt creeps in. Another thing that's not working.

Here's what I need you to understand, because this is where most people give up right before real change begins.

Your discs don't heal like a cut on your finger. You can't see it happening, there's no scab forming, no visible progress to track in the mirror.

But at the cellular level? The work has already started.

Disc tissue is avascular, which means it has very limited blood supply compared to other tissues in your body. Healing happens through diffusion of nutrients and the slow removal of inflammatory byproducts that have built up over time. Research shows this process takes weeks, not days.

During those first sessions, we're creating the space for your disc to draw in nutrients. We're reducing the mechanical pressure that's been preventing any kind of healing for months or even years. Your body is beginning a process that was completely stuck.

You just can't feel it yet.

Some patients report nothing for two weeks, then notice significant improvement in week three. The healing was happening all along... it just hadn't reached the threshold where pain signals actually change.

This is why consistency matters more than immediate results. Disc recovery follows a biological timeline, not our emotional one.

If you're in that first week right now and feeling discouraged, I see you. That skepticism makes complete sense after everything you've been through.

But your body is already responding, even if your pain hasn't caught up yet.

→ Results vary based on individual health status and commitment to the full treatment plan.

Stop treating stress start fixing compression.

We often hear that chronic neck pain is just "tension." That if we just relaxed more, the pain would fade.

But when discs degenerate or compress, no amount of meditation is going to change the structural reality. Stress might tighten your muscles... compression affects the spine itself.

I see patients who have genuinely tried everything to "relax" their pain away.

They’ve done the massages.
Bought the expensive pillows.
Taken the time off.

Yet the deep, nagging ache remains.

That’s usually because you can’t "relax" a structural issue. If a disc is herniated or stenosis is present, the nerves are under physical pressure.

That is a mechanical problem.

And mechanical problems often require mechanical solutions—like decompression—to help take the load off and allow the area to heal. It’s frustrating to be told to just "breathe through it" when the issue is physically sticking in your neck.

Have you been told your pain is just stress? 👇

The 'sit up straight' rule is simply wrong.

At least, it feels that way when your back is already screaming at you.

Everyone says it. "Shoulders back, chin up." But nobody explains that existing compression makes that "good" posture physically painful.

Think about it.

Your body often hunches forward to protect damaged structures. It’s trying to create space. So when you force yourself upright without addressing the compression first... you're basically fighting your own protective mechanism.

Forcing that position can create inflammation, not less.

I see this constantly with patients who have been dealing with issues like stenosis or disc bulges. They try so hard to follow the standard advice, but the pain just flares up.

We have to look at the structure first.

Rather than forcing alignment through willpower, we need to address the compression issues found in the spine. When we do that, maintaining a healthy posture usually becomes less of a fight and more of a natural result.

Proper spinal alignment supports overall nervous system function, but it shouldn't feel like a battle against your own anatomy.

Does forcing "good posture" hurt more than it helps for you?

03/06/2026

You feel the strain, but what truly unfolds within your discs and nerves when you tilt your head down for hours? Uncover the unseen mechanical cascade that impacts your spinal health.

It usually starts with physics.

Your head is heavy. Roughly 10 to 12 pounds when it's neutral. But the moment you tilt forward to check a notification... the math changes.

At a 60-degree angle, gravity multiplies that force. Your cervical spine is suddenly managing nearly 60 pounds of pressure.

That is like carrying a microwave around your neck.

Here is the cascade that follows inside the tissue:

The discs compress under the load. Think of a wet sponge being squeezed tight—the fluid is pushed out. When that happens repeatedly without a break, the disc height can decrease.

Less height means less room for the delicate nerves exiting the spine.

Irritation sets in.

Your muscles react immediately. They spasm. Not to annoy you, but to protect the area. They lock down. Inflammation builds.

And because you are uncomfortable, maybe you aren't sleeping well. Since deep sleep is when we heal, the recovery slows down.

One position. Repeated thousands of times.

It accumulates.

This is where we focus our work. By assessing spinal alignment and mobility, we aim to address that mechanical stress. Proper care may help restore motion and support the body’s natural ability to function better.

Are you reading this while looking down right now?

Drop a "Yes" if you just corrected your posture.
