Patient safety isn't just a goal, it's a daily practice for each and every paramedic

During Canadian Patient Safety Week, we're highlighting ways Manitoba paramedics contribute to safer care with every call:

πŸ‘‰ Practicing clear, respectful communication with patients
πŸ‘‰ Speaking up when something doesn't feel right
πŸ‘‰ Following all safety protocols and practice directions
πŸ‘‰ Supporting colleagues through professional accountability
πŸ‘‰ Prioritizing personal wellness to maintain safe, competent care

Tim's adventures don't just stop in Manitoba πŸ‘€

Last week, he travelled to Calgary to attend the Canadian Network of Agencies for Regulation (CNAR) Conference in Calgary 🍁

The event brought together regulators from across the country to explore innovation in regulation, AI integration, ad the ongoing transformation in health regulations.

While there, Tim had the opportunity to connect with colleagues from COPR, SCOP, Alberta, and Ontario, helping to strengthen relationships and foster collaboration across professions and jurisdictions.

Conferences like CNAR are such a valuable opportunity for CPMB to learn, share, and grow together with our regulatory partners.

This week, we join healthcare professionals across Canada in recognizing Canadian Patient Safety Week. A reminder that safer care doesn't happen by chance.

At CPMB, patient safety is at the core of everything we do. From setting standards of practice to supporting professional accountability for paramedics throughout the province.

Each and every paramedic plays a vital role in ensuring safe, competent, and ethical care for Manitobans

We want to know, how do you promote safety in your day-to-day practice?

Professionalism is more than just following policies. It's about integrity, accountability, and respect throughout every interaction.

At CPMB, we're continually inspired by the dedication Manitoba paramedics show in upholding these values across all areas of care.

Let's take a moment to recognize that dedication πŸ’™

πŸ“East Zone

Yesterday, Tim toured the east, meeting with paramedics in communities including Pine Falls and Lac du Bonnet.

The visit provided an opportunity to connect directly and discuss topics such as continuing education, education standards, and the growing student interest in paramedicine.

Staying connected with Manitoba’s paramedics is an essential part of CPMB’s work, ensuring we continue to listen, learn, and support YOU 🀝

Keep an eye out for where Tim might be visiting next!
