Morning Breeze HealthCare, Inc. ("MBH") opened our doors to the public in February 2020. Two years later, MBH became the "Startup Business of the Year 2022 Nominee" nominated by Canadian SME.

It was not only an honor to be nominated but it was a testament about our hard work and the belief that our work did not go unnoticed. We will be forever grateful for the trust that was put into us.

In the early 2000s, our Founder-Genaro Guevarra, developed the Emergency Preparedness Plan (EPP) for his former employer, L'Arche Winnipeg. In 2020, the COVID-19 pandemic took the world by storm, literally.

In March 2024, our Morning Breeze HealthCare ("MBH") team updated our Blog Global News, with the below write-up.

The COVID-19 was just a preview. These raging wildfires are the main attraction and the biggest challenge is not Climate Change but TIME. Time is not on our side. But collectively we can make TIME to mitigate the RISKS.

The COVID-19 pandemic ultimately tested Guevarra’s work that he did two decades earlier. By this time, Guevarra had dedicated ten years of his time and skills with the Special Behaviour Unit Program in one of the long-term care facilities in Winnipeg. His experience of the pandemic was not what he...

Our facility, Riding Mountain Inn, located in the town of Riding Mountain in Rosedale, Manitoba had witnessed this adorable encounter with Felix, The Bear. The name given by Conner, one of our guests during their stay.
The town is a 20-minute drive on PTH Highway 5, North of Neepawa which lies East of Riding Mountain National Park.
One of our guests, captured this adorable Black bear Cub, which was spotted by the local residents within the last few weeks or so in the area. The cub, foraging for food and can melt hearts as Felix, is obviously cute, adorable and just amazing to watch and enjoy the wildlife at play.
One of the guests child, Conner, named the cub, Felix, The Bear 🐻is very happy to watch and have the close encounter for the first time.
But the bigger question is how do we interplay with wildlife that in our educated guess, just like the case of Felix, The Bear is somehow displaced with the recent wildfires in the area. And taking stock of the knowledge that, we are a "guests' within their natural habitat and we must peacefully co-exist with the wildlife in their natural habitat.
This begs the bigger question for the powers-that-be to continue to protect the wildlife as there is a disruption of their natural habitat due to the recent brought about by the rapid acceleration of climate change.
At Morning Breeze HealthCare, Inc. our belief is that the greatest threat is no longer but TIME- we are running out of time to mitigate the constant risks of climate change.
We are therefore calling the provincial and federal governments to up the ante in service provisions for programming to educate the general public on how we interplay with wildlife as we navigate the harsh realities on the effects of climate change on the environment, humans and wildlife.
We expect more from "all of us" to do more to protect "us" and the "wildlife" that teaches us, that they too needs the protection that they deserve.
