Registration for the 24th annual Hike for Hospice is now open! Join us May 24, 2026 at Blue Cross Park and Hike to raise public awareness for hospice palliative care. This major annual fundraising initiative will help advance the hospice palliative care initiatives right here in Manitoba. Though the event is a national initiative, all money raised stays here helping the dying and bereaved in our own community. Qualified hikers receive tickets to attend the Winnipeg Goldeyes Baseball Club game following the event and the top fundraising team wins up to 4 registrations to the Annual Palliative Care Conference in September! Abstracts submitted must fit the theme “The Evolution of Palliative Care”. We are looking for presentations that focus on: delivery of a palliative care approach in various settings; what good palliative care looks like early in the illness trajectory; what good end-of-life care looks like when someone is actively dying; the role of specialists in palliative care; and palliative care innovations.
