Tamarack’s Agency Fund is created for the sole purpose of supporting people to access treatment who may not otherwise be able to afford it.

Match funding means that for every $5 dollars donated to the Tamarack Agency Fund at this initial stage an extra $1 is contributed by the Winnipeg Foundation, making your donation go further!
Plus, the Tamarack Fund is an endowment, a special type of fund where donated money is invested, and just the earnings (i.e. interest) are used to support our work. It is a long-term investment where the original gift is preserved and the earnings provide steady, ongoing support year after year. Your donation becomes a gift that keeps on giving!

We’re thrilled to share that Tamarack Recovery Centre has been rated a five-star, top 100 charity on Charity Intelligence’s website. Charity Intelligence researches charities to help donors make informed decisions. The organization uses publicly available data, not paid endorsements from charities, to produce its research reports, which include a 0-5 star rating system. Tamarack was honoured to take part in The Winnipeg Foundation “Youth in Philanthropy (YiP) Conference” Community Expo this week. This special event brought together 500 young people from Winnipeg high schools who are involved in learning about and engaging with local charitable organizations. Counsellor Connie and RCW Jeanette from Tamarack (pictured) hosted 2 addictions-focused information sessions and were thrilled connect with such dedicated and community minded youth!

We’re pleased to announce our new spring garden, created as part of our 50th Anniversary celebrations, has been planted! It might not look like much now, but we’re hoping our patience and faith in the future will be rewarded next year as the warmth of spring brings over 100 daffodils into bloom 🌼🤞.
