Today is International Women’s Day - an opportunity to recognize the achievements and contributions made by women in our community and beyond.
We know first-hand that when women are given pathways to treatment, the space to heal, and the support to begin their recovery journey, their strengths and talents radiate through their community. For over 50 years we’ve witnessed the transformative effects of recovery -not just on the women in our program, but on their family, partner, children, colleagues, and friends.
Today we honour all women who made the choice to change, stayed the course and continue to choose a healthier life for themselves and to benefit others.
And if you’re not quite there, but are contemplating making a change, we’re here for you when you’re ready.

Teamsters Joint Council 90 and the Teamsters Canada Foundation have donated $10,000 to the Tamarack Recovery Centre, a Manitoba-based, non-profit addiction treatment and recovery centre.

When workers are hurting in their lives, their struggles don’t stop at the job site. Addiction and mental-health challenges affect millions of Canadians, including some of our members. Ensuring access to compassionate, life-saving care is part of building a stronger union and a stronger Canada.

Le Conseil conjoint 90 des Teamsters et la Fondation Teamsters Canada ont fait un don de 10 000 $ au Tamarack Recovery Centre, un organisme manitobain sans but lucratif offrant des services de traitement pour les dépendances à l’alcool et aux drogues.

Quand les travailleuses et travailleurs vivent des difficultés, leurs épreuves ne s’arrêtent pas à la fin du quart de travail. Les enjeux liés à la dépendance et à la santé mentale touchent des millions de gens, y compris certains de nos membres. 🎉We’re so excited to announce that we have reached our goal of raising ’50 for the Future’! 🎉
Thanks to the generosity of donors like you, we have raised $50k for our newly launched endowment fund. Announced last May in honour of our 50th anniversary, the ‘50 for the Future’ campaign attracted donations large and small from both individual donors and organizational/corporate supporters. Every dollar raised increases the endowment and ensures that even more money generated from the interest can go towards supporting our vital participant subsidy fund.
