The Children’s Rehabilitation Foundation is a non profit organization dedicated to helping children with disabilities and special needs be as independent as possible. We are the fundraising arm for the Rehabilitation Centre for Children (RCC)--an outpatient facility providing rehabilitation services and specialized health clinics for children and youth who live with life-long conditions.

This past year, Claire has made an incredible impact as Ambassador for the Children’s Rehabilitation Foundation, sharing her story, radiating energy and raising meaningful awareness for CRF’s mission.

From cutting the ribbon alongside Paralympian Leanne Taylor at Cruisin’ to Change Lives, highlighting the importance of assistive technology with her PAWS wheelchair attachment at A Night of Miracles and advocating for her peers during media interviews at the Winnipeg Jets meet and greet, Claire has used every opportunity to inspire and lead.

Thank you to everyone who came out to support an evening filled with fun, hope, and community in support of the LIFE Program’s Sun & Fun Summer Camp. Heartfelt events like this help brighten the days of youth living with physical or developmental disabilities, giving them the chance to experience a summer in a supportive and inclusive environment.

“Even if the money I raised helps just one child, that would be enough for me. I just want to know that someone’s life is a little more comfortable because of it.”

Grade 12 Seven Oaks Met School student Jyanne Alimano turned her personal passion into meaningful action, creating positive change in her community through her thesis project.

Through hands on learning, Jyanne focused her thesis on supporting local youth living with disabilities and their families, transforming her ideas into real-world impact.

🏒 A big win for Harley and the Winnipeg Avros!

The Winnipeg Avros are making an incredible impact far beyond the final buzzer. Thanks to their amazing fundraising efforts, raising nearly $5,000, Harley has received a new adapted bike designed to grow with him.

Living with Cerebral Palsy, Harley now has the freedom to ride with greater stability, stay active and participate with his peers. In addition, his new bike also supports important therapeutic benefits like enhancing range of motion, strength and stamina.

A huge thank you to the Winnipeg Ice AAA team for your incredible sportsmanship, both on and off the ice. 🧡

This elite group came together to raise funds for 6-year-old Stella, who lives with Rett Syndrome, a rare neurological disorder, helping her receive an adapted bike.

Until now, Stella joined school bike days by being pulled in a wagon while her peers rode alongside her. Thanks to this new bike, she’ll be able to ride with her classmates, experiencing greater independence, dignity and inclusion, along with improved mobility and regulation.

Seven-year-old Jackson is riding toward greater independence thanks to a very special gift 🧡

With support from the Winnipeg Motor Patrol Group, who fundraised by selling Grey Cup tickets, Jackson received an adapted bike designed just for him.

Diagnosed with autism, Jackson found it difficult to balance on a two-wheeled bicycle. Wanting to explore new possibilities, the talented physiotherapy team at the Rehabilitation Centre for Children recommended a specialized tricycle equipped with foot pods, a stabilizing belt and caregiver steering and braking from behind.

This bike will not only help Jackson stay active and engaged with family and peers, but also support his physical development by maintaining joint range and preventing muscle rigidity as he grows.
