We’re so excited to welcome Riverwood Veterinary Clinic (Port Coquitlam, BC) to the CABB family 🐾❤️🩸

Before even hosting their first donor clinic this past week, their team had already blown us away. They recruited so many incredible donor dogs that this first clinic of theirs filled up so fast!

Introducing this week’s medalists! We had 22 brave dog heroes 7 pack members reached their 5th donation, 7 pack members reached their 10th donation, and 1 pack member reached her 15th donation! Special shout out to Hattie Pattie for reaching her 15th donation! Together, we !

We want to also take a moment to celebrate Raja, our five-time lifesaver. Raja is officially hanging up her donor bandana after her 5th lifesaving donation 🐾❤️🩸

Five donations, countless lives impacted, and a legacy that truly speaks for itself. Raja showed up every time with calm, courage, and a whole lot of heart. Because of her, so many dogs got a second chance ❤️

Happy retirement, sweet girl 🤍 you’ve more than earned it. Enjoy all the treats, naps, and extra love. You’re a hero forever.

The Heroes Who Donate Together ❤️🩸🐾
Some stories feel a little extra special… and this is one of them 🤍

Meet Jennika and her gentle giant, Norman. A donor duo making a difference for both people and pets. The same week Norman made another life-saving donation, Jennika gave blood for the very first time 🥇

Together, they’re showing just how powerful giving back can be 💫

“My name is Jennika and my dog’s name is Norman. He is a two year old Great Dane. He has donated three times now. We were lucky enough to both donate blood the other week, mine being my first time donating. We both plan to continue donating as much as we can!

Both mine and Norman’s experience donating with CABB has been phenomenal. Ariana and her group of volunteers are always lovely to work with. I myself have been volunteering with donor clinics and it’s always such a fun and rewarding experience. However bringing Norman to donate is the true joy. Blood donation is so important for the pets who need it. The volunteers are always so accommodating to make sure the pets health, safety, and comfort are a top priority, always making sure they have a positive experience. As a huge dog/animal lover and a Medical Laboratory Technologist, I know how important these donations are. I’m so happy to play a role in that for both people and pets, and I highly encourage everyone to become involved however they can.”

From volunteering, to donating, to advocating ➡️ Jennika and Norman truly embody what it means to give back 🤍

Meet Virgil 🐾❤️🩸

Virgil was one of the very first dogs to donate at Vancouver, BC’s first ever CABB donor clinic this past weekend! Making him one of the city’s first canine blood donor heroes 🥇 .vaerc

From cuddles and treats during his donation, to proudly wearing his donor bandana after, Virgil handled it like a pro. His owner also shared a little about their experience and what it means to be part of something so important 🤍

Every donation can help save up to three dogs in need, and heroes like Virgil are helping build the future of canine blood donation in British Columbia 🇨🇦
