G is for Glasses is a locally owned and family operated optical shop in Winnipeg, established in 2014 by Bonni O'Hara and Jessie Fillmore. G is for Glasses houses full time optometrists, Dr. Jessie Fillmore and Dr. Jocelyn Radawiec. Frame brands include Jacques Marie Mage, MOSCOT, Andy Wolf, SALT. optics, Barton Perreira, Garrett Leight, Valley Eyewear, MYKITA, Ahlem, Mr. Leight, Kaleos Eyehunters, and 141 Eyewear. We also direct bill to most insurance comapnies!

G hit up the town Saturday night with a big ol’ Jets win followed by our staple holiday dinner . The Macarena was done, a Vilardi Party was had and Pionk Pony Club (credit: ) was sung. This team here is the heart and soul of G. We are so thankful for their commitment to our little shop, their daily hustle, and the care they give to everyone who walks through our doors. And to all those who walk through our doors, THANK YOU from the bottom of hearts for supporting our small business, and for caring about independent eyewear. Yes we sell glasses, but it’s so much more than that. It’s about people, it’s about relationships, it’s about feeling good about yourself, it’s about community and feeling comfortable in our space. We are SO EXCITED to carry the gorgeous work of Jenny P in our shop! We have a big selection of handmade eyeglasses trays (each one is more magical than the last), that would look stunning on every glasses-wearer’s nightstand. We also have a fruit bowl FULL of these charming ceramic bananas— each one comes with a stand, making them the perfect little piece of art to put on an otherwise boring shelf.

Ok! Here is our final artist feature from our Good CleanArt lens cloth project! Here’s Courtney, who makes sensational pieces of art to wear on your fingernails (pressies).

Courtney is ALSO the artist/designer behind this entire lens cloth project… she was able to take the conceptual art from each individual participant, and create a cohesive collection of beautifully designed images.
