Acceptance isn’t ā€œlooking on the bright sideā€, it isn’t denying that pain and troublesome times exist, and it definitely isn’t the same as liking or being happy about what is happening. Instead, it’s accepting the reality of what is, even if it’s painful. From there, we can choose how to think and act in the most helpful or effective way, despite the current reality.
