First up today at 10:00am is Top 10: Prioritizing Self-Care (Over Christmas and Winter) where we’ll take a look at some ways to support nurturing self through the busy season and the harshness of the coldest months.

This afternoon at 1:30pm, we have Top 10: SAD (Seasonal Affective Disorder) where we will learn about the types and symptoms, and explore some options for treatment and management.

This morning at 10:00am, we have Top 10: Time Management, where we’ll take a look at ways to use time to our best advantage. Building helpful habits and scheduling our days mindfully empowers us to grow, fulfill our responsibilities, and reach our goals.

Next up at 1:30pm we have Indeed where participants will learn how to use this popular job search website to effectively support their search for work and career goal development. We’ll review Top 10: Indeed which covers the basics and some important features that boost job seeking efforts.

Good morning,

This morning at 10:00am we have Top 10: Improving Small Talk where we explore ways to proactively prepare to have conversations with others in any situation, while creating and building connections and rapport.

This afternoon at 1:30pm, we’ll be taking a look at the 18 most common questions asked during an interview, and discussing how best to answer them. This workshop includes worksheets that provide participants with practice answering the questions. The completed sheets act as a tool for memorizing effective answers to interview questions and refreshing the memory before interviews.

Good morning,

First up at 10:00am today we have Resume Tips, where we will take a look at the Top 10 things to include in resumes to make a memorable introduction to employers. The handout for this workshop works well as a resume cheat sheet, to help participants ensure that their resumes cover the most important and effective points of information.

Next up at 1:30pm we have Self-Marketing where we'll take a look at how to use marketing tools and practices to enhance job search. Using common marketing and sales techniques for job search is a proven, effective approach to job search and career development.

This morning at 10:00am, we have Top 10: Body Language, where we'll take a look at this often-forgotten part of communication, and learn some pointers for aligning it with our intentions.

At 1:30pm, we have Top 10: Goal Setting Tips where we take a look at the proven ways to make it much more likely that we will make progress in the directions we want and choose for ourselves. We must make a plan and set times in our schedule to take steps, and follow up in order to turn our wishes and dreams into goals and targets that are much more likely to be achieved!

This afternoon at 1:30pm is Coffee Club, our weekly peer support and social skill-building workshop. Today is participant choice of games, puzzles, and activities that we have on hand and we will decide together what we want to do at workshop start.

Good morning,

This morning at 10:00am, we have Talk Shop where participants get the chance to practice public speaking skills. We have warm up questions/conversation prompts that are light and often fun or silly, and then we move on to 2 minute timed speeches, and finish up with conversation that develops organically from these activities. This approach allows those in attendance to build skills and rapport with their peers, much in the same way as would be expected in the workplace.

Next up at 1:30pm, we have Top 10: References. This workshop provides pointers on how to choose effective references, protocol for approaching and communicating with them, how and when to provide them to employers, and more.
