Good morning,

This morning at 10:00am, we have Top 10: Ways to Self-Care where we'll explore accessible, and mostly free, ways to attend to self-care. The information in the workshop can also be used to inspire and inform individuals that would like to create a Self-Care Plan or a Mental Health Crisis Plan.

Next up at 1:30pm, we have Assertiveness, where we will compare and contrast different communication styles to understand assertiveness and why it’s such an effective way of being. The handouts for this workshop include worksheet and templates of scripts to use for practice and preparation.

Today at 10:00am, we have Top 10: Staying Motivated at Work. The good news is, for those job seekers that targeted their job search towards work that is a good fit; some motivation will be built into their job. This is because seeking employment that is aligned with personal values, interests, and aptitudes makes work more sustainable and enjoyable.

Good morning,

This morning at 10:00am, we have Top 10: Constructive Criticism where we'll learn how to accept critical feedback and use it to fuel skill development and future successes. This workshop incudes a quick mindfulness exercise that, when practiced regularly, is fantastic at retraining our brains (and ourselves!) to accept both criticism and compliments in an effective manner.

This afternoon at 1:30pm is Coffee Club, our weekly peer support and social skill-building workshop. Today is participant choice of games, puzzles, and activities that we have on hand and we will decide together what we want to do at workshop start.

Tuesdays at 10:00am, we have Mindful Movement with Caryn leading participants through a routine of gentle yet effective stretching, breath work, meditation and mindfulness. This approach regulates the nervous system, while exercising the body and soothing the person.

Good morning,

This morning at 10:00am, we have Top 10: Body Language, where we'll take a look at this often-forgotten part of communication, and learn some pointers for aligning it with our intentions.

Our afternoon workshop today at 1:30pm is Identify and Avoid Phishing Scams, which provides information and tips for recognizing scams. We’ll also take a look at different types of scams, why they work, and how to avoid and report them. This workshop always stirs up interesting dialogue and cautionary tales of experience with scams.

This morning at 10:00am, we have Top 10: References. This workshop provides pointers on how to choose effective references, protocol for approaching and communicating with them, how and when to provide them to employers, and more.

Good morning,

This morning at 10:00am, we have Top 10: A Mindful Minute where we'll learn about quick and accessible ways to incorporate practicing mindfulness for a few minutes here and there throughout your days. This approach builds strong and positive associations with mindfulness and meditation, ensuring it is there for us in a helpful way when we need this wellness tool in moments of upset, duress, and/or dysregulation.

Next up at 1:30pm, we have Email Tools, Apps and Etiquette with tips for getting the most out of email communication. Following these pointers and using the tools available helps job seekers level up their communication game so that as they network, they don't miss opportunities and are displaying transferable skills that employers are looking for.
