🥶 What Is Cold Stress? 🥶

Cold stress happens when your body can’t maintain its normal temperature. It can lead to hypothermia, frostbite, and serious injury. Understanding how cold affects the body is the first step in staying safe during winter work.

Working long hours outside in freezing temperatures can lead to cold stress. Stay warm, take breaks, and watch for early warning signs.

Shivering, confusion, slurred speech, slow breathing, and numb or white skin are all warning signs of cold stress. If you notice these symptoms in yourself or someone else, get indoors immediately and seek medical help if needed.
