Thomson "In the Park" Funeral Home and Cemetery serves as a compassionate and supportive space where families and friends can honour the lives of their loved ones who have passed away. Thomson in the Park Funeral Home is located on the cemetery grounds of Thomson In the Park Cemetery at 1291 McGillivray Boulevard in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Thomson In the Park Cemetery, formerly Garry Memorial Park was

founded in 1953 on 34 acres of land in the community of Fort Garry. Thomson In the Park Funeral Home began construction in 2002 and was opened to serve the families in the community in February 2003. The funeral home is approximately 10,000 square feet and boasts modern chapels that are multi functional with movable seating and walls to accommodate families’ many needs. All areas of the funeral home are equipped with the latest multi- media equipment required in this modern technological era. The reception centre with a full kitchen facility has a walk out patio to our outdoor committal and cremation garden called Create a Forest. The funeral home has an open foyer plan that is also multi functional and houses our grief library and video collections that are available to all of our families. The Serenity Room is a glass front enclosed niche where families can visit their loved ones from the comfort of a beautiful indoor sitting area. Families have evening access to the Serenity Room with their own personal security code. Our staff of professional funeral directors and after care associates are available 24 hours a day to assist families through the difficult process of arranging their funeral and cemetery needs, whether on an at-need or pre-arrangement basis. All of our services are designed to help our client families through one of the most personal and challenging stages of life. We understand losing a loved one is an emotional and difficult experience, and we are committed to helping our client families with compassionate, professional and personal service.
