FREE WORKSHOP IN WINNIPEG FOR THOSE IMPACTED BY THE CHILD WELFARE SYSTEM

The Southern Chiefs’ Organization is sharing information about an upcoming FREE workshop taking place in Winnipeg, Treaty One Territory.

The Legacy of Hope Foundation is inviting Indigenous peoples, Sixties Scoop Survivors, and anyone aged 16 and older who has been impacted by the child welfare system to take part in:
• Cultural revitalization activities
• Self-care and well-being exercises
• Financial literacy and fraud prevention learning

Dinner will be provided.

Date: March 5, 2026
Time: 3 – 7 pm
Location: New Directions, 717 Portage Avenue, Winnipeg, Treaty One Territory

NorWest is back with another year of ‘Free Personal Income Tax Clinic’ for low-income individuals and families with simple tax situations. The clinic will start on March 4, 2026 (from Wednesday) and continue until the end of the year.

We can help community members file their taxes:
• In person
• Over the phone (virtual)
• By drop-off (kindly complete the drop-off form and email it to akaur71@wrha.mb.ca or drop it off at any resource centers or the mailroom at Access NorWest)
