Pure is kicking off our United Way Campaign with a week full of friendly competition, big energy, and even bigger generosity. From Tuesday to Thursday, staff are going for the gold in daily "Olympic" challenges.

🚴‍♂️🚴‍♀️🚴‍♂️ This past weekend, our very own Blake, JF, and Daryl took on the Habitat for Humanity Manitoba’s Ride Around the Lake event. A 300 km, three-day cycling journey in support of affordable homeownership.

Now in its 19th year, this exclusive event has raised over $4 million for Habitat homes. This year alone $500,000 has been raised through the riders, donors, and sponsors which leads us to believe that every pedal stroke truly makes a difference for families right here in Winnipeg.

Beyond her professional training, Alana brings the mindset of an elite athlete to her practice. She proudly represented Team Canada in ringette, earning a gold medal at the 2017 World Championships, and continues to compete at the highest level in the National Ringette League. Her first-hand experience with injury recovery, performance, and the demands of elite sport gives her unique insight into supporting her clients.

Dr. Elgazzar is dedicated to a collaborative, multidisciplinary approach. At PURE, this means patients benefit from seamless follow-up care with our in-house allied health team - a model that reflects his and our shared commitment to comprehensive, patient-centered care.

Outside the clinic, Dr. Elgazzar leads an active lifestyle of his own. Whether running, strength training, or enjoying time outdoors, he understands the value of movement. He also loves cooking, traveling, and making time for family and friends.

Welcome (Officially!) to Jayden Bryant — Now a Permanent Part of the PURE Team!

Jayden has been working with us on contract for the past few years, so his face and name might already be familiar - but we’re excited to give him a proper introduction as he has joined us full-time as a Kinesiologist and our new Occupational Health Coordinator.

Jayden brings a performance-driven mindset shaped by 8 years as a competitive track & field athlete, a Bachelor of Kinesiology from the University of Manitoba, and his certification as a CSEP-Certified Personal Trainer. He’s also currently pursuing his Clinical Exercise Physiologist designation to continue expanding his evidence-based approach to care.

With a deep passion for movement mechanics (reflected even in his hobby of fixing bikes 🚲), Jayden blends practical insight, attention to detail, and a love of learning to help clients reach their health and performance goals.

Shoutout to Jeff Schirr, RCMP officer and all-around powerhouse, who just returned from the 2025 World Police & Fire Games in Birmingham, Alabama with 6 gold medals and 1 silver for Canada. 🇨🇦💪. Jeff is the "Toughest Competitor Alive".. AGAIN!!

Over the summer, Jeff worked closely with Blake to prepare for his goal of defending his Toughest Competitor Alive title, and he crushed it!

From early morning sweat sessions with Evan, Paul, Rebecka, and Joe, to Steve keeping him moving with physio, and the endless encouragement (and chirps) from the 5am crew, it was a true team effort.

Jeff, your discipline, drive, and grit inspire everyone at Pure. Congratulations on another incredible performance!
