Today we kickoff our Used Paddling Gear Drive with Waterways, a non-profit offering canoeing & outdoor-ed programs for all Indigenous youth across Manitoba. As you know we love to support all things canoeing, which is why teaming up with Waterways was a no-brainer.

Founded by both Indigenous and non-Indigenous competitive paddlers, canoe trippers and Indigenous-outdoor-recreation facilitators, their collaborative canoe programs are designed to empower youth, connect them with the land and their cultures while nurturing their mental, physical, emotional and spiritual well-beings. Paddling layers the benefits of cultural connectivity with physical activity. This not only supports better physical well-being but cultivates a higher sense of self-esteem, confidence and pride, giving Indigenous youth the tools they need to lead healthy lives to conquer any challenges they may face. Launching a non-profit during a global pandemic was not an easy decision but the message from our communities was clear, Indigenous youth need us now!

Please consider dropping off paddling and canoeing gear to us during store hours, to help this amazing youth canoeing non-profit organization.

What is Wild?!

Nature- taking over all things man-made or created that is not from her heart. Humans fighting the fight to keep the way of doing things the way it’s always done.

When I look through the book stores I see the same thing, self-help books, workshops, ideas... all sharing ways to “improve” who you are. It’s simply another way of moving yourself farther away from your nature (who you really are).

Confused? Searching for your purpose? Your answers are not in a book- they are actually all inside you. The trick is to find the silence to tap into yourself!

Come as You ARE- November 22nd.
CURIOUS?! DM for details

Each time I get on my board...
I am reminded how to play, that there can be ease in all things, I am reminded about the cycle of nature and how to pause (which is oh so needed), I am reminded that I have the right to take up space AND am always finding harmony with everything that also has the right to take up space, I am reminded that everything has its purpose, I am reminded that I have ZERO control over anything that is not within myself, I am reminded that there is serious value in unplugging.
What does nature remind you?

Today I had the most wonderful conversation with a neighbour of mine- you know those convos that you leave feeling richer and wealthier than you ever imagined was possible?- one of those conversations and I’m thankful I have them on the regular.
We were outside and both acknowledged the expansiveness we feel being outside, so much that we bring plants inside to feel like we are outside 🤷‍♀️🌲🌎
I can name all the technical benefits of why SUP yoga is amazing for you and can make you stronger and feel better and all the whys behind it! AND.... none of that matters when the HUGEST benefit you will receive is the experience of being in nature and on the water for 75 minutes fully present in your experience.
Life can be hard, it can be busy, it’s full of greatness and tears all at once... a 75 minute mini vacation in nature could be all you need to get you back to yourself.
Nature- she is the true healer for us all 🌎🌎🌎
