I’m not sure how many times I’ll get invited to attend functions in Ottowa but I hope this isn’t my last.
It was my honour to be a part of hosting a reception with Brain Injury Canada, Senator Woo and MP Gord John’s last month to continue the growth of support we need for Bill C-206 - A act to establish national strategy on brain injury

the stories discussed humble me immensely and remind me of why I continue to fight at the federal level and look forward to presenting a strategy for Manitoba

this quick tub with convertible cap to allow this client a safer transfer in and out of the shower stall but also allow for full bathing access as well as “climbing” grab bar at a 45degree to stand easier from a shower stool and a vertical grab bar go safer two handdd support and entering and exiting the tub.
this system is available generally within the week and cost $1595 go the full conversion. the f the cap is not needed it is installed for $1095 and grab bars depend on the size needed.

this narrow staircase in the garage was becoming more dangerous for our client so time to add a railing to the stairs for peace of mind.
simple and effective.

we may have been quiet on the socials lately but still lots of work getting done :)
this vertical platform unit will get this client in and out of his home safely. we like these units more for garage use given our climate but they can be used outside as well very successfully.
we needed to reinforce the landing for a heavy power chair and added a threshold ramp for smoother access in the through the door.

quick rental ramp install in Selkirk for a client to get home from the hospital.
when it doesn’t make sense to purchase a short to medium term solution rental is a great option that many people don’t think about.
also, if within three months you decide you should have bought it or your circumstances change, we will remove the months of rental paid on the item from its purchase price. and it will be the same purchase price you received with the rental approval. we always give you the option.

here is an example that we aren’t perfect and a lesson learned, now our city dwelling staff know to avoid mud roads in the shoulder seasons and after heavy rain. hopefully we learned the lesson so you won’t have to :)
client was waiting for a stairlift which we admittedly did have to get moved to the following day but completed before dad came to live with them in a new multigenerational home in southern Manitoba.

want to get into your bathtub but the step over is too high?
we can solve that. to remove this tub and replace with a walk in shower base with new walls is generally in the high teens and up to $25,000, crazy. this option is available for $1095

a great option for full home access from K2
this unit will keep our rural client in the southwest Manitoba safely in their home for years to come.
This was installed for $3200 and generally available within the week of ordering.

Need a stairlift for a short period of time.
this clients option was to stay in hospital or figure out a safe option for their stairs right inside the front door.
Rental was perfect.
This unit is available for $299 month
We use the K2 for all rental applications and can generally be installed within a day or two.

these Harmony adjustable beds feature, under bed lighting, multifunction wireless remote control with flashlight, vibration among other features and this client went with the harmony Relax plush memory foam mattress.
2 twin XL beds create a king size bed with personal modification but one big duvet :)
