Today's Mantra...💭

🌬️ Surrender is not giving up—it’s giving over.

I’m learning to live in the space between effort and ease.
To do my best, and then trust the wind💨 to carry me.

To let go of outcomes, and open to what’s trying to come in—for my highest good.

Through surrender, I move from outer turmoil to inner peace.

When fear rises, I soften into love. And in that softening, I receive.

Still one of my FAVES!!!

Benefits of Raising Your Legs for 5 Minutes:

1. Improves Blood Circulation
Lifting your legs helps blood flow back toward the heart, reducing fluid retention, heaviness, and swelling in the legs — especially after long periods of sitting or standing.

2. Reduces Swelling in Feet and Ankles
When you stay in one position too long, fluids can build up in your lower limbs. Elevating your legs naturally helps your body drain this excess fluid.

3. Relieves Pressure on the Veins
This simple position eases pressure in the leg veins, helping to prevent or soothe discomfort linked to varicose veins.

4. Calms the Nervous System and Reduces Stress
By promoting relaxation, this posture — similar to certain yoga poses — helps slow your heart rate and brings a sense of calm and mental clarity.

5. Eases Back and Leg Pain
Raising your legs relieves tension in the lower back and leg muscles, providing a light and relaxed feeling after a long or demanding day.

How to Do It Properly:
Lie on your back near a wall.
Place your legs up against the wall at a 90° angle.
Breathe slowly and relax.
Stay in this position for 5 to 10 minutes.
Best Times to Practice:
Before going to bed.
After a long, tiring day.
After sitting or standing for extended periods.

Today’s mantra is one we all need to hear:

THE STRUGGLE IS REAL… BUT YOU CAN DO HARD THINGS. 🕉

✨ It’s better to be tired from moving forward than drained from standing still.
✨ Don’t wait for confidence to show up before you take the next step — taking the step is what builds it.
✨ New paths aren’t found by waiting… they’re made by walking.

So if today feels heavy, remember:

Every small step you take is a victory.
Every moment of effort is a seed of growth.
And yes — you are strong enough to keep going.

Good morning Beautiful people and Happy Friday!

✨ Do you ever have one of those surreal moments when time seems to pause… and you’re overcome with the simple, profound truth that being alive is a gift?🎁

That was me this week.

I found myself in tears—grateful beyond words.

For my family, my friends, my students, my work, my health… and for the beautiful lesson of progress over perfection. 💖

As I’ve grown older, I’ve become more intentional with my circle.

I choose to surround myself with people who lift me up, challenge me, and help me grow. And wow—what a blessing that is.

To everyone who sent birthday wishes, thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Your kindness reminded me how deeply connected we are, even in this fast-paced, social world.

You’ve helped shape me into a better woman, wife, mother, entrepreneur, and friend. 🙏

Good morning,☀ beautiful people, and Happy Saturday.

🚂 Life is a train.

Not a metaphor. Not a cliché. A truth dressed in steel and motion.

When you’re young, the train is loud.
⚡ Fast.
👥 Packed.

Everyone’s on board — friends from school, neighbors who knew your dog’s name 🐶, coworkers with inside jokes 😂, family who never missed a birthday 🎂.

The compartments echo with laughter, plans scribbled on napkins 📝, dreams shouted over the hum of the engine 💭💨.

You think it’ll last forever.
But the ride changes.
People get off. 🚶‍♀️🚶‍♂️

Some step off smiling, chasing new horizons 🌅.

Some vanish — no goodbye, just an empty seat that hurts to look at 💔.

And the train grows quieter.

You learn — not to mourn every departure, but to treasure the ones still sitting beside you 🤝.

To look out the window 🪟.

To notice the scenery 🌄🌆🌾🏔️.

Because it’s always changing — sunrises, cities, quiet fields, mountains that make you feel small and alive 🌞🏙️🌻⛰️.

Don’t fear the silence 🤫.

Don’t panic when the seats empty 🪑.

Hi friends! I’m thinking of starting a daytime gentle yoga class in Transcona Yoga 4 Life Winnipeg and wanted to see who might be interested.

My Yoga Journey

Hi, I am Shannon and I am so excited to be part of your Yoga Journey! I truly believe that yoga is for every Body and every Mind. My classes are inclusive and offer an approach that is available to all in a friendly, safe, and supportive environment.

I have been teaching yoga since September 2014. My certifications include: Yoga Centre Winnipeg-YCW Certification (200 hours), Omniji Teacher's College Winnipeg Yin Yoga certification (50 hours), Peg City Yoga Sivatantra Yoga Certification (50 hours) Yoga Fit Level 1 & Health Care Level 1 and Barre Certification form the Yoga Barre. I am also just embarking on the Journey to achieve my Advanced Yoga teacher Training with Hart Lazer. (300 Hours)

I began my journey in 2005 while I was pregnant with my daughter. Being an avid step class student, I was looking for a gentler physical practice during my pregnancy. After my pregnancy, I went back to my regular step practice, however years of high powered step classes had begun to have effects on my body. I soon returned to my yoga practice and I was amazed at how this gentler practice could challenge me both mentally and physically!

Yoga has changed me in so many ways! It has guided me, nurtured me, and allowed me to grow into a much more grounded and positive being! I am so happy to have found my bliss with yoga and am excited to share it with all of you!
