Here’s what I’d tell you if you work at a desk all day…
and I say this with so much love:
Your body isn’t broken.
It isn’t mad at you.
It’s just asking for more movement.
The tight hips, the stiff neck, the low-back tension…
Those aren’t flaws.
They’re signals.
That’s what happens when your body holds one shape for hours at a time.
It’s not about “fixing your posture.”
It’s about giving your body the variety it’s craving.
Your nervous system wants freedom to circulate.
Your joints want motion.
Your tissues want to adapt via load.
You don’t need a new chair or a complicated routine.
You need simple, sustainable patterns that remind your body it’s allowed to move:
What can you do?
🤍 set a timer every 30mins get up, walk, swing your arms and legs, rib cage circles for 5 mins.
🤍 do not under estimate daily walking (your whole system loves this)
🤍 you can’t skip strength training 2–3x/week
🤍 a little glute + core activation sprinkled into your day
🤍 changing positions often (sit to stand desks, walking pads under your desk, Swiss ball for sitting, get creative!) - not striving to hold the “perfect” one
Small shifts create big relief.
Your desk isn’t the problem.
The stillness is.
And the beautiful thing?
Your body responds quickly when we meet it with care, not criticism 🤍
