We are proud to announce that, thanks to the incredible support from our community, we have successfully raised $2 million to upgrade our minimally invasive operating room suites at Grace Hospital. This funding, provided entirely by the Grace Hospital Foundation and our generous supporters, will allow us to completely modernize our outdated general surgery theatre and create a second state-of-the-art theatre. This expansion will significantly enhance our surgical capacity and improve patient outcomes. Thank you Manitobans for continuing to Embrace the Grace!

UPDATE: The weather outside is perfect for fireworks but not so much for the drive-in movie. We've had to shorten our agenda a little bit due to wind conditions but the festivities will still take place. Join us tomorrow night and kick off the holiday season at our annual Tree of Life Winter Celebration!

Last week, Dr. Ramin Hamedani was honoured at Grace Gala with the Pearl McGonigal Lifetime Achievement Award. Dr. Hamedani, who has been a fixture at Grace Hospital for more than 25 years, embodies excellence in clinical practice, and has provided life-saving care to countless patients over the years with compassion and poise. As a friend to Grace Hospital Foundation, he is beyond compare. An annual major donor, Dr. Hamedani always gives back in support of enhanced patient care. A perennial fixture with his family at the Joe Aiello Bocce Ball Tournament, and at Grace Gala, Ramin walks the talk as a participant and advocate for Grace Hospital Foundation’s events and activities. Congratulations Dr. Hamedani!

On October 19th, Betty and Norm Brown, who have a combined 57 years of volunteering, were recognized for their decades of service to Grace Hospice. For them, volunteerism is more than an act of service; it's a way of life. Their contributions go far beyond the ordinary. During the holiday season, you'll find them building snowmen at the Grace Hospice en­trance, serving as Mr. and Mrs. Claus at the holiday dinner and delivering gifts to every hospice resident on Christmas morning. These small but meaningful gestures bring joy and warmth to patients and their families during some of life's most difficult moments. Thank you, Betty and Norm for your kindness, your caring hearts and your thoughtful ways.
