I’m having a lot of feelings as I start wrapping up classes this week, knowing that there is no start date in the New Year. As much as I’m aware that it is a great privilege to be able to pause my career and focus on my growing family, it wasn’t my original plan. I’ve spent the last six years starting, growing, and maintaining Your Best Yoga, and am incredibly proud of what I’ve created. I’ve gone from having 1 student in a class (shoutout to Katie!) to having worked with hundreds of students who have made their way through our classes. I have had students who have been coming to classes with me for 5 years and I have been able to form real relationships seeing them week after week. There have been highs - our outdoor summer wine and yoga classes, the first time one of my classes sold out, working with school groups, and hearing amazing feedback from students who have shared how the classes have benefited them physically and mentally. There have been lows - having to cancel classes due to low registration, pandemic madness, and some burn out from teaching too many classes a week. This next chapter may look different than I imagined, but I will be fully embracing it as well. To my students, this isn’t necessarily “goodbye”, but “see you around”. Hopefully one day we will roll our mats out together again. Until then I will say thank you, but know those words can’t fully express my level of gratitude for you. Here’s a few of my favourite memories over the years✌🏻❤️🧘🏼♀️
