It was incredibly meaningful to return to the Graduate Orthodontic Program at the University of Manitoba to lecture on the business orthodontics with my friend and colleague, Dr. Amani Morra.

Amani and I got real about building our practices, the actual business side of things, and honestly figuring out who we wanted to become along the way. There’s something special about sharing these conversations with someone you genuinely respect and admire. Amani: your generosity and kindness have been a lifeline to me during this ortho journey as a woman and mother. ✨

Standing here as a clinician and business owner now, I found myself thinking about that student version of me in the audience. Being able to give back to the place where my ortho journey started feels like closing one chapter. But getting to contribute to the new dental school facility, to be part of what’s coming next - that’s a fresh chapter I’m genuinely excited about. That’s what this moment is really about. ✨

Thank you to Dr. Billy Wiltshire, the program team, and all the residents for the warm welcome. Your questions and energy made this day so special. I hope we gave you something to take with you. ✨

This truly feels like coming full circle. 🤍
