💛 Why I Became an OT
I’ve always valued working alongside people to find solutions to the challenges they face in their own lives, solutions that are practical, meaningful, and make a real difference day to day.
✨ What I Love Most About My Work Today
I love the people I work with and being part of a team that is working toward a shared goal of solving real-life problems. I value the constant learning that comes with the process, and I find it incredibly rewarding to help turn ideas into practical solutions and actual products that can make a meaningful difference in people’s lives.
🌱 Golden Nugget of Wisdom
Small changes matter. Be willing to try, learn, and grow.
🌸 Who (another OT) I Admire Most (Giving Flowers)
I admire Becky Marval, Occupational Therapist and Manager of Mobile Outreach Street Health, because she is both a friend and someone whose work I deeply respect. Her commitment to social justice and community care, and the way she meets people where they are, reflects so much of what I value in occupational therapy. I especially admire the compassion, creativity, and heart she brings to making a meaningful difference in people’s lives.
🎉 Fun Fact(s)
Suling was a member of Dalhousie University’s national women’s soccer championship team in 1999
Suling appeared on the season finale of CBC’s Dragons’ Den this year…and her appearance went VIRAL!
🎨 If I Weren’t an OT, I’d Be…
If I weren’t an OT, I’d be a travel photographer, capturing stories, places, and moments that might otherwise go unnoticed.
