13yr STUDIO ANNIVERSARY 🥳🥳🎈

I started my first studio wayyyyy back on Feb 1st, 2013. It was VERY unplanned & unexpected, and was met with many, MANY more unplanned & unexpected things along the way. Through the ups & downs, one thing that has kept me going is YOU - my clients & "strangers" who have become some of my biggest supporters ❤️

THAT (aside from sheer stubbornness & an uncanny delusion that I actually COULD keep going) has been the driving force behind everything. No fake followers or fake engagement. No "I did it all on my own" while hiding behind a security blanket (there was none). Through it all, this was possible because of YOU. And while the ride has been bumpy at times & the faith (and sanity) has been questioned, it always circles back to this: there is no "plan B". THIS is what we do.

The love & support from clients has been the heartbeat of Majestic Strength. And THAT tells me everything I need to know...

We're just getting started.

What. A. Day.

Absolutely SURREAL experience at my tournament yesterday. I felt so completely dialed in for the gi (uniform) 170lbs part of the tournament (I weighed in at 162) that I really didn't realize what happened until after 😵 Couple of quick wins & before you know it...gold medal whaaaaaaaat?!?!?! 🏅

I had actually contemplated cutting down to the 155lbs division beforehand. And as it turns out, the 170lbs no gi (no uniform) division was scratched & I got moved up to the 185lbs division. Between the fatigue, the experience level & the weight difference that was definitely a handful but at least managed to secure the bronze medal in that one 🥉

I managed 3 armbar submissions in total for the day, which came to a complete shock to everyone - including myself 😅

All in alll an incredible experience & so thankful for & for all their training & support & thank you .0 for making the trek down to root me on. Words can't describe the feels atm!

I'm 19 classes in so far & 2 tournaments already. I've definitely got a lot of work to do still but it's been a fun ride so far. What 50yr old goes around starting s**t like this?!? 😅
